No problem, I know it’s not the correct way but what ever gets it done ahahaha

Undoing the park brake causes that whole section to drop without having to loosen any bushes apart from the shock bolt. May still need compressors if you have heavy duty springs.

Im abit surprised you are as good as you are at replacing suspension parts hey , ive noticed in your other video doing struts you you didnt know the name of some parts under the car & again in this video 😵💫 BUT You don't have any drama taking parts off & replacing with new parts & doing a good job ☺️👍 i watch a thousand videos because im replacing my front & rear suspension on my 2004 VY Calais V6 & im learning heaps watching these videos & doing the work myself along with my mate to save on paying a Mechanic the high prices they charge us $$$ 🙈👎 from watching many many VY Suspension videos i think i now know just about every part / component under the car blindfolded 😂😂 That part you're referring to at Rear suspension is rear axle stablizizer link , also known as a rear sway bar link ☺️👍 we have them on the front suspension as you already know but they are straight Links , i only know this because of the many suspension videos like yours ive watched to learn how to do myself , i like your videos 👍 i just thought it surprising you're not familiar with some part names ! It dont stop you doing a top job on the cars thats for sure 👏👏 Cheers from Bundaberg Qld 🕺🍹

@dismissedtub6717 hey mate I'm not sure if you did this or not but if you take the handbrake off the whole assembly should collapse a little and you can wiggle the springs out. Good video though

Nice vid mate, since they have been fitted for a while now. What is your hub-centre to guard measurement for the back?

Cheers im looking at getting kings for my vzss mine is too low atm 325 up front and 320 at the back
@dismissedtub67177 күн бұрын
Okay so I also just remembered I have switched out the springs in the video to a higher spring. So in the video I have khrl-46sl which on king’s website is the lowest you can go for rear. And I switched to khrl-46 and that gives me around 31.5cm-32cm from hub centre to the guard. But I think from memory for the measurements for the one in the video (lowest one you can go) I think it was like 28-29cm
@81rayman7 күн бұрын
@dismissedtub6717 yeah okay, pretty low . I'm trying to work out what king code to sit 335mm front and 330mm rear 🤔🤔

You don’t need spring compressors , I noticed something about your car you don’t have rear tie rods someones removed them

Series 1 VX didnt have them. Not IRS. Thats why camber kits are needed even just for the bigger wheels.

What makes you say you don’t need spring compressors? I’ve got a S2 VT Exec, got all the parts to lower it, was wondering if I ACTUALLY needed spring compressors or if there was an easy way to get the stock springs out. Front and Rear?
@cpzmelbs Жыл бұрын
@@benjFPSif there was an easy way why would anyone bother with spring compressors at all lol
@benjFPS Жыл бұрын
@@cpzmelbs idk man, alot of people in videos i see just dont use compressors, the videos just cut then stock springs are out. I swear ive also seen a comment somewhere that mentioned an easier (still somewhat finnicky) way of getting stock springs out just by taking something apart but idk.
@stevennott61392 жыл бұрын
Wow,you made that look painful, you don't need to undo swaybar link,you also don't need spring compressor, if you read a manual you undo the six bolts on the axle where it bolts to hub,it let's the suspension arm hang down enough to get standard springs out,if you already have lowered springs in their you just need a lever to push down arm,if you lower it more than an inch you should probably trim the bumpstop, but if you keep calling swaybar link that things it might be to big of a job for you
@stevennott613911 ай бұрын
@unclesmate that's bullshit, there's service manuals to read (if you can),you can ask other people that have already done it,there's often multiple videos on you tube,there's the commodore forums If you don't know what you are doing you shouldn't be making instructional videos
