Turn off the shutdown sound in Windows 10?
Welcome back to another exciting journey in the world of Windows customization. In today's video, we're going to unravel the secrets behind customizing the startup and shutdown sound effects on your Windows 10 computer.
Follow the steps as shown in this video: How to Change the Windows 10 Startup & Shutdown Sound.
1. Click on the Start Windows icon at the bottom left, and then click on Settings.
2. Click on the Personalization option.
3. From the left panel, click on the Themes option.
4. Click on the Sounds Windows default.
5. Select the check box of Play Windows Startup sound in the Sound tab.
6. Click on the Apply button and then click on the OK button.
7. Close the Settings window.
8. Type regedit in the Windows search bar, and click on the Registry Editor app from the search result.
9. Click on the Yes button to allow the permission.
10. Navigate HKEY_CURRENT_USER/AppEvents/EventLabels.
11. Scroll down the list, and click on the Windows Logon folder.
12. Double-click on the ExcludeFromCPL on the right side.
13. Change the Value data from 1 to 0, and click on the OK button.
14. Now select the SystemExit folder from the left panel, and double-click on the ExcludeFromCPL on the right side.
15. Change the Value data from 1 to 0, and click on the OK button.
16. Close the Registry Editor window.
