it is Jan 2 nd, and I can't change or add an image, think their system is having issues. I also tried to add a new account for my dog and it is locked, can't change image, can't click on anyone else profile to follow, I made a video but it is in Draft with no way to publish it. Doesn't work this way, now. I click on the little + button that is attached to my profile pic, and it asks me to upload a pic from my phone. I do that, then it adds it to my story. I still see my old profile pic. I then click on my profile pic, and it simply shows me the pic I just uploaded to my story. It in fact does NOT change my profile pic.
