This vid is exactly what I was looking for to do this same service on my 2500. I appreciate the video without all the extra fluff, I'll be looking forward to other videos on your Ram. Thanks!

Yo. Great vid. I like that you did this from the ground. Thats whats up! Most of us dont have car lift. 2 question. How much money did this whole procedure run ya? Filter, gaskets, etc. How much time did it take to do? Preesh the vid. Best one out there.

Thanks bro! Just bought the whole service kit on rockauto for $40. The oil is the most expensive at $90. After setting all the bands and filled up the oil make sure you check the level in N also check if your TV cable need to be adjusted.

Don’t need a lift for a truck bro
@AxleRodsАй бұрын
I used to say the same excuse of "I don't have a lift" until I started working in the shop and found that I preferred most jobs on the ground anyways. For this one I'd definitely be laid out on a comfy creeper with some good lights, if it were on a lift youd be fighting tired legs and tired arms reaching up there. I just want to say this to encourage you to believe in your abilities a little better. Mechanics are like following a Lego kit. Most parts come with instructions too. Then we got these awesome forums all us mechanics have been discussing fixes in for decades now you can find literally everything on those forums! First time I cracked a 96 dodge ram 2500 transmission pan there were shift forks falling out of it. I relisted it on craigslist and one of my girlfriends from highschool showed up to buy it. She Netflix and chilled me the next night and she hasn't left since. That was a long time ago and now we're married and have a 1st grader. I didn't tell her I knew the transmission was fukd up on that truck til about 3 years later. I did help her to trade it for a 2005 400ex we then sold for 3500 and then bought her a nice car. That was our first week dating together.

You have a great video... BUT you are leaving QUITE a few people in the dark here. Not even letting anyone know exactly how many quarts you put in, for one.. The TQ for the pan bolts.... Did you N check it OR did you leave it in park to check levels?? I would not recommend this video to people trying to find these questions. I take that back.... this video is not good for anyone. not even cats.

You must be slow or never worked on a car? He walked out with 4quarts it’s an oil pan bolts 30ft/lb should suffice. He ran through the gears while it was warming up afterwards he checked the level while in neutral as he stated in the video
