2015 elantra owner here - car goes into limp mode and wont go forward in Drige. Reset by unplugging connector and car works fine. Could this be the transmission input or output sensor causing the problem?

On mine, I’ve noticed that my speedometer is off 5mph. I used several gps devices and they all returned the same outcome. Also, I am having issues with my car going into limp mode after driving 15 miles at a rate of 7mph. (Michigan Freeways)

Where exactly is the transmission speed sensor located? I know where the input and output sensors are but not the other one with the orange gear.

Hi Michael, the transmission sensor usually located at gearbox. From the transmission sensor code you can find out which sensor is in and out.

@@obadaalomari1821 Hi Obada, it could be your transmission filter clogged or lack of transmission oil. Try to check your transmission oil dipstick. If it's not enough, you need to top up the oil. If it's dark red or black you need to change your transmission oil and filter.
