Super easy to change the engine air filter on your 2013 to 2018 Toyota Corolla. Definitely a do it yourself job. After you've done the engine air filter once, you'll be able to check or change it easily each year. Here's a tip: if the engine air filter is dirty, try vacuuming it and then cleaning it in hot soapy water and then letting it dry. You'll save money on expensive engine air filters and you may get years of life out of one.

Aftermarket ones have a rubber ring around them… I wonder how well the OEM Toyota denso ones seal being that there is no rubber ring… what do you guys think? I own this same vehicle and I’m considering switching to wix because of the rubber ring

The OEM Toyota filters seal perfectly! The material that the filter is make of is soft and slightly squishy and is manufactured to seal 100%.

Thanx .. i have a lil question : My 2015 Corolla S doesn't have a coolant reservoir is that normal ? Because the car has a rebuilt title so i am afraid they canceled the reservoir !

Pretty sure on that model it is located on the right side, under the hood (if your sitting in the drivers seat) It will have some pink coloured fluid in it. (if it has original toyota coolant)

Chris Notap there is no reservoir other than the washer fluid on the right side ... and i'v been driving the car for a week and the gauge temp doesn't exceed the quarter mark ! very strange

Different manufacturers make different looking filters. They all work.

Not supposed to re-use air filters..... great tutorial tho... and you have to be careful when opening the breather, debris can fall in.

Sounds like you’ve never tried to re-use. Debris falling in is not an issue since the air intake is on the top piece.
