Thanks mate, not too hard a job except for removing the filter unions without damaging the lines. A lot of tension to break it.

@@TheBrowneTown got it done! i actually did it slightly differently I left the bracket installed, moved the fuel line from underneath to the side and pushed the filter out of the bracket instead of removing the whole bracket, then fit the new filter in and tightened the bracket around it, but it worked none the less! the 19m up top was a bitch to crack but a bit of wd40 and a breaker bar did the trick.

My one problem is getting the bottom bolt back in may I ask how you did that

Sorry mate this was such a long time ago I can't remember any specifics, i don't recall having too much difficulty but can't say I remember it at all really 🤷‍♂️

Loosen or remove both 12mm headed bolts that hold the bracket to the chassis rail, just loosen the 10mm headed bolt holding the hard line clamp on the opposite side, then it will allow you to wriggle the filter and bracket enough to get the thread started/get the flare nut started, once started a few threads by hand, get the bracket bolts started as well before tightening everything else etc. An easy way to crack the banjo bolt on top and flare nut underneath is to use a 19mm open end spanner on the fixed hexes that are part of the filter body and arrange the other 14mm spanner (bottom) or 19mm spanner (top) so that there is roughly 20-30 deg angle between the pair of spanners and you can squeeze them together like a pair of pliers.

Did you feel any difference in your car after this? Performance? Efficiency?

Can't really say, did a lot of work to the car and didn't really take note of each individual item. These drives a lot better now but it's a combination of lots of small changes I've made.
