Hey man, the video is really great and I learned a lot of things from it. I think I'm pretty confident to change my fuel filter now. I noticed that there are two little rubber things still in the packet at 14:42 and was wondering if it's not much of a thing to be replaced or not, since I'm planning to buy the same brand fuel filter. Anyway great video hopefully you'll make another one replacing the fuel filter. Thanks

Great tutorial. Reminder: Squirt the studs and nuts before removing the nuts. Otherwise, you might break a stud (yes, I did that on my '06 Outlander; not fun coming up with make shift solution).

It looks like you’re putting the fuel and the filter into a new housing, what new part in that assembly filters the fuel? Asking for my 03 oz rally

Yeah, in these lancers the fuel filter is built into the pump housing and so when you replace the filter you have to replace the housing as well. When I do mine I’m going to try and break open that plastic housing so I can see how gross the fuel filter is. Just morbid curiosity because my filter is well overdue to be replaced

Great idea! I thought about it but wasn’t 100% sure if i should but after I took it out of the car I kinda regretted not buying a new one. Worth making a video of me changing the fuel pump?

Need to do the same for my partner's 04 lancer ES, is Ryco a good brand? Should I do pump at same time or just filter? It has started losing acceleration when pushing accelerator pedal down to about half way point, I am thinking it's the fuel filter, worth a shot as a starting point anyway!
