My husband wants a divorce and I feelmy life emotions my soul going like a plane crashing. Lydia I dont know you but whoever doesn't like you is not just stupid but clearly is jealous of you. Thank you for this. Seriously, from the most humble part of my heart and in tears. Thank you. You have no idea what this video has done to me.

If he wants a divorce let him go! God has a plan for all of us. He was just passing your life temporarily, some people come for a reason a season or a life time. He was meant to be with you for a season as a part of your journey to learn something. His soul is gone already, all is with you is his physical body. let him go and tell him thank you for the time you shared together . Your life will be transform to a happier brighter fullfiling life. Trust in the Universe it has some thing bigger awaiting for you ✨

I’m only 24 minutes in….and I have to say you are an inspiration to so many of us. I’m sitting here in my comfy Figleaves joggers, after coming home from my torturous Pilates workout ( the only kind to have), and I’ve started gardening. I’ve never cared what people thought of me….that has truly been a gift. I did however, reach a breaking point a few months ago when I realized I was desperately neglecting selfcare. We adopted our autistic grandson 5 years ago. He is the highlight of our lives! We are so grateful to have him. Given my age….its not as easy as things once were. So at my breaking point, realizing I needed to take care of me if I was going to be able to take care of everyone else. I hired housecleaners, started my Pilates classes 3 days a week and planted a flower garden….and a few herbs. And of course, I watch your videos 2 times a week! My favorite time of the day with a cup of tea. I just want to say thank you! Thank you for sharing your struggles and your path of better living. And giving yourself the ‘feel good’ moments you deserve .

Have unfollowed Lydia a few years back because her content was not resonating with me any longer and sometimes even annoyed me. I recently watched a few of her latest videos and they felt like a big hug around my soul. I now realise that the reason I was reacting so negatively to Lydia’s content previously is that I saw myself (confused, unhappy and unfulfilled) in her, and it was what I recognised in myself that provoked me. The wise and evolved Lydia these days is instead showing me the way. Re subscribing to follow her journey and hoping to learn a few pearls of wisdom on the way. But also obsessed with the sausage dogs and the garden.

Hello from Arizona. I wanted to respond to the negative comments. We all have suffered in life in one way or another. I am in the middle of a divorce to a man that I married 33 years ago, had two children and supported him in his dreams. I even took care of his father in his old age. He sat me down and said horrible things to me and our daughter. Every day I wake up at 5:00 with anxiety as to what the day will bring from his attorney. There was domestic issues that have taken my body and mind down. To say that watching Lydia’s videos is so therapeutic is an understatement. We all want to live the dream, and to see her succeed and show us her “things”, is so minuscule. Of course she shows “ things”, as this is her job and delight! However, her words spoken to us are the real gift! Not many expose their raw self and challenge to be better! My daughter and I need too see beauty in plants, decor and animals! We k ow the dream for her is her dream for us all!!!!

I'm a single mum to 4 children one with severe learning disabilities my life is the opposite to yours , however I love and enjoy and appreciate your content as it encourages me to enjoy things, simple pleasures, and this year I'm determined to get into gardening. I feel inspired by your life and the content you show to want and do better for myself mentally and physically. Self improvement through reading , gardening etc. I grew up doing all these things visiting gardening centres, looking at beautiful grounds and art and along the way I ended up drifting so far from these things. You have helped me to realise these things bring me comfort and peace .

@@beckie-sr1qw Wow! You are an inspiration! I can’t imagine how difficult life can be for you. You are exactly the kind of person that makes the world more beautiful and gives hope. Hope is everything. My dad encourages me each day to have hope. I feel this is what Lydia is doing when she shares beauty in gardening, her animals, cooking and yes ( the beautiful clothes she loves). We all would hope that our life could be easier and more beautiful. I can’t fault someone for not experiencing my pain. I can only hope that each day I find beauty somewhere so I can make my children’s lives better. If I am receiving comfort from Lydia’s sharing of her life through self help books….. isn’t that a good thing! I wish for you a life of comfort and happiness. You are the reason women are able to be so strong! You taking care of four children and one with learning disabilities makes me feel so inspired! You are precious and strong!

Hi Lydia, you have missed the mark on some of the advice here. The death of a child particularly, but also a parent or sibling is not something that you can "Silverline", nor I believe should you. In these instances people that are suffering loss, or a trauma need to be held, need time to readjust to a normal that they may not want to live in right now because it is with a loss so deep. In these situations only time can heal, and knowing that you have to put one foot in front of the other for your living loved ones. Gratitude and joy come in fragments during times like these but should not be forced or rushed. Forcing gratitude in times like this is not always helpful either. People need to express their pain and hurt and loss safely. Can you sit in the dark with another and let them just be in the hard situation that will alter them forever? The thing about humans is that we are resilient but we need time, love and understanding. In terms of the privileged every day where we are not feeling the after affects of acute trauma, severe depression or loss, then yes, we should work on cultivating a resilient and on the whole joyful existence. But with the former grace needs to be given, and warmth, understanding and love. With all due respect your life seems to be have been fairly privileged and I don't think you should comment of incredibly sad situations that you have not yet found yourself in. You cannot understand the unbearable pain. People do smile and find that joy again but sometimes it will be tinged in sadness. Grief alters us and so does trauma. May we all strive to be the best we can be, especially when that involves just getting out of bed. Sometimes that is our best and that is a huge win on some days, some months and some years.

I think when someone is rude to us or upsets us, it's worth just stopping for a few seconds and thinking and not reacting. You don't know what the other person is going through in their life right now. Yes it's wrong to be rude, but we are also human, and humans don't always get everything right. The secret is don't take it personally and don't match their behaviour with yours, because then you have consciously intended to be rude to someone. Equanimity is something we can all practice, yes it's hard, but also a person who values themself and has emotional intelligence, does not respond with rude behaviour. Actually choosing to smile and respond in a respectful way is sometimes enough to make the other person feel sorry.x 🌸🦋🌸

My first life-changing book was 'The Obstacle Is the Way'. When I read it, I felt it was so underrated, and I'm glad it is now taking a central place as it deserves. The best book that teaches you how to feel, think, exist in human form, and dream is called 'The Language of Emotions' by Karla McLaren. It helped me learn that the anger I feel is just one tool in a vast toolbox of emotions available to me-a tool that helps me re-establish boundaries and ensure my self-safety.

What a wonderful and inspiring video today. Thank you. 🙏 it’s taken years for me to “learn how to think” and change how I react to things; and how I think of things. I didn’t read self help books (I read classics & literature and kinda worked it out backwards through what authors were telling us about life) but I journaled my entire life, enough to go back through the journals and see trends, patterns and constant mental loops that had to be changed for my sanity over the years. Any books, conversations, videos that inspire us to change are great in my books. I loved how you articulated this in your video. Thank you.

I love this video, I am 32, Married for 10 years and I have two beautiful daughters. Everything you're talking about is something I am currently applying to my own World. I am a Christian. I know not everyone is religious, but not knowing your Purpose is the biggest struggle I feel so many Women deal with. Love God and Love People is our Main purpose in Life. However, since reading a couple books one of the inserts that stood out to me and has helped reshaped the way I view even the mundane things is your knowing your Why? knowing that you will be rewarded in heaven, knowing God is adding our most precious things that we love to our mansion in Heaven every time you do that not so fun thing. or for non-religious people you could view it as the universe Thanking you. washing dishes, not feeling appreciated ect just know a higher power is looking down and you are being rewarded, it may be instant or in the future. Marcus Aurelius was a smart man... I love stoicism... It taught me that I was only entitled to what I created for myself.. and that I should guard my happiness... I find it to be purposeful practical. And realistic... And the tone of stoicism perfectly fits the world's attitude for today..

My whole life from school, college and work I’ve been mentally and emotionally bullied and never been given an opportunity to gain a career in Business even now. I am so grateful to you for introducing me to Jacqueline, listening to her book has really set me on a path, the tough love works for me! On a podcast she did I remember her saying that compliments and criticism should go down the same way - as in you should be so comfortable I your own skin that neither draws you off centre. Also Evergreen is one of my fave audiobooks. It’s one of my long journey listens, also when I can’t sleep. Pretty sure if audible gave rankings I’d get “stalker” level of listener 😂😂😂😂😂

This video was so inspirational Lydia. Thank you for sharing. The part where you talk about parents divorce is so relatable and not just parents divorce but other parts of family and friendships not being the same like I see for others. Always wondering and wanting to have what others have but unfortunately we all live different lives and go through different experiences. I’m nearly 28 and nearly 30 and it took me to this age to really start changing a lot of things in my life. Crazy but it feels good. I hope you continue these kind of videos in some parts of your videos. Self love, self care, self help etc etc is what we all need to do. It takes time but I hope we can all do it 😊❤.

Hello Lydia, I am enjoying your content more and more every day!! Thanks for the book recommendations, I went to Amazon straight after watching your video, and got started with the 1st book already! Definitely helps to listen to them, rather than reading them, thanks again for that helpful advice!! I get how people that are mean, rude, and/or envious affect our psyche and day or days, it affects me quite a bit as well! I am hoping to learn how to deal with that better, as well as organize my thoughts and life better! I was watching some of your old videos, from years ago and I must say how beautifully you have evolved, kuddos to you Lydia, please keep on inspiring, as you do now! Hugs to you, Ali, Lumi and the sausages! ❤
