how does that surf grip rudder perform over the standard Ozone rudder?

I find that it holds better in bigger bump or messier conditions. It has just a little bit of extra surface area added at its tip; that extra contact with the water deeper down helps stability when chop is coming at you from all directions and also gives a little bit of extra hold when flying the ama to reduce drag. If you're only downwinding in smaller bumps, or your runs are somehow always very clean, you may not notice the difference.
