Hello everyone. If you're watching this, spark plug manufactures apply anti seize coating to their spark plugs already. You really should'nt apply anti seize to the threads, but if you do, be extremely careful when torquing. Torque specs are for dry threads and if you torque to those same specs, you risk stripping out the threads in the head because you are putting more torque into the heads by reducing the friction. Also, torque wrenches are only accurate above the bottom 15% of their range, so make sure the 10-15 N-M of torque is somewhere near the lower middle of the wrench's range. Electronic do not have this issue and they use sensitive strain gauges. i..e dont use a giant 200 ft-lbs torque wrench for sparkplugs

Great video! Minor correction; this semi does not apply to the Mazda 2.5 turbo engine (mainly CX-9 and some CX-5/CX-30/3s/6s that have that turbo engine.) That part # from NGK is DILKAR7M8 or Mazda # PY8V18110. Manual also calls for a 40k mile interval on that turbo engine. Having owned a few Mazdas with the 2.3L and 2.5L naturally aspirated engine, this turbo requires more maintenance and 93 octane fuel for best performance. Also 5W-30 oil vs the usual 0W-20.

@DariusBuildz9 ай бұрын
It should be 4 8mm and one 10mm holding down that bracket on top of the coil packs then it should lift up enough to access the bolts on the coil packs. Your coil pack bolts may be held down by 8mm bolts instead of 10mm bolts. You may also have to pull out the vacuum line coming from that top plate to lift it up as well.

An old school mindset doesn't always work with new technology. The manufacture instructs you to not check the gap since doing so can fracture the electrode. These are not $2 copper plugs. The iridiums are way more efficient and don't need to be gapped perfectly to perform as they should.
