HOW TO | Changing the Air Filter Housing on a 2017 Peterbilt 579

Swapped out the air filter housing on my truck. If you need a replacement, the part number is P D37-1050-20000. You'll need a 1/2 inch socket, I recommend a deep socket like I used in the video. The hose clamps on mine were 8mm heads, yours may be different. Always check you have all the necessary tools BEFORE you start taking stuff apart.

Are you pulling fuel for someone using there plates or do you literally have you own trailer and authority ins. And getting your own loads? I’m pulling chemicals but run under the companies plates. I want to go back to fuel since I’m carded at a lot of places and really enjoy it more.

Im leased to a carrier, and run the companies plates since my truck is a lease purchase, and I pull their trailer.

How is the truck holding up in the weather, and I’m assuming shitty roads (salt)? You getting any rust on the frame yet? Stay safe and take your time, don’t let those idiots tear up that truck. ✌🏽

It’s holding up well, I ran last winter and it did fine, however it’s starting is a little sluggish so I may replace the starter as a precaution. No rust on the frame thankfully, I have done the anti rust coating that a local shop does. You stay safe as well 🫡
