Just received one of these with a used RC car purchase. This is a fantastic set of tutorials! One question… What’s if it is left on the charger once it is full? Does it have a maintenance feature?
@TheTenergybattery Жыл бұрын
Hi Jeremy, it's a good practice to disconnect the charger from the battery pack when it is done charging - this mainly helps ensure the battery pack lasts longer. For the majority of the time, leaving them connected won't be the end of the world - your charger and battery should be ok if left connected after being charged. For maintenance features, around 3:55 timestamp we cover how to cycle a battery pack (useful for packs that haven't been used for a while), this charger can also discharge your battery pack to 50% for storage (ideal for the times when you do not plan on using the battery pack for a while).

Great video. Helped me diagnose that my new charger won't go into auto mode. I'll try again after returning this one!

One question, might sound silly but is there any specific way to store these batteries for a long time,E.G. if the battery is not being used for a few months, do I store them at the minimum voltage or maximum voltage
@TheTenergybattery6 ай бұрын
Greetings, that's a great question! For long term storage, like a few months, we suggest storing battery packs that are nimh or nicd at 80% charged. If it's a lithium based battery pack, we suggest 30% instead. Feel free to reach out to us directly at service@tenergy.com if you have any additional questions.

What is the best storage voltage for both Nimh and Nicd, pls?
@TheTenergybattery5 ай бұрын
Generally it's recommended to store the battery around 40-50% charged. For Nimh and Nicd the voltage will be around 1.28V-1.2V. If you're unsure and would like more info, please reach out to our team with your battery pack's specifications at service@tenergy.com and our team can help provide more info.

How does it know when it’s full if you do t select voltage?
@TheTenergybattery Жыл бұрын
Hello Wunderwaffe, for NiMH or NiCD Battery packs, the charger will detect a negative delta V when the battery pack is full.
