How to charge your PS4 controller without plugging it up to your PS4 system.

Bro yes you're right but lots of chargers have different amounts of voltage and you could ruin your controller's batterry by charging them with the wrong amount of voltage which will lead to shorter lasting batterry, controller turning on only when in charger and even could lead to the controller not working. To do this method please always check the amount of voltage the charger has. For the dual shock 4 it's 5 while for the dualsense it's also 5 but usb c. Note if the charger shows a smaller amount of voltage than said it's alright to use the charger but the speed of charging the controller will last longer. (Sorry for bad english)

You dumba$$ it will not that is not how it works. The fast charging will not turn on if the device does not "request" it from the charger. The device and the charger agree upon a voltage that they both support. The ps4 controller cannot communicate to the charger and it will output 5V like any USB port does.

Its okay as long as the fast charger isnt bad quality, for the higher voltage it makes a handshake between the device and the charger, and if the device doesnt allow higher voltage, It sends the standar amount.

Just make sure you're not putting any more than 5 volts into it and no more than one amp of your good other than that you'll be overpowering it even though about a little bit and voltage amperage is what's going to kill it

It happend to me too it fried my controllers motherboard for leaving it plugged into the wall for too long it doesn't work no more so yeah use the right charging block to keep it from continuing to charge or it will over charge your controller and fry it so make sure to use a good block

Everything with a USB port can charge your PS4 controller, be safe and make sure to get the lowest power rating adapter 5V with below 1A should be fine, because any phone charger will kill your ps4 controller battery with a fast charge

Always remember, the adapter needs to be 5V 800ma. It's lested behind your ps4 controller to let people know what is the required voltage, because if it's not followed, your controller will be damaged especially the battery.

Any power brick outputs 5V and the current doesn't matter unless its under 800mA because the contoller will draw how much it needs

WARNING: do NOT use fast charging brick wall. it may lower don life expectancy and might FRY the controllor rendering it usless. use brick walls that only has 5 VOLTAGE. Please read the etxt on brick walls if ur using a controllor. If u dont wanna have problems finding a 5 voltage brick wall try getting sonys brick walls make sure to read the text on it.

The DS4 asks for 5V=800 mA (look up at the back of your Ds4) As long as the charge adaptor is within 5volts It'll be all ok The Amps part doesn't matter since what we are looking for is the Voltage. If it's above 5V That'll literally damage the ds4

It really does have to be a android box, doesn’t have to be Samsung but can’t be iPhone charging box. I don’t have a system but I play mobile games with controller support n I had a Xbox remote that took battery’s and it started breaking on the sticks so I went to the pawnshop n got ps4 remote. Don’t use Samsung you a Sony charging block because the that brick is to highly of a voltage and will fry the battery so the only you can play is with it plugged in so or just make sure it is only a 5 volt charger

That is a Samsung charging brick, make sure it's not the quick charge variety or you'll be spending 9-volts sometimes to your controller, burning up your battery sooner than necessary.
