I am so glad you make mention to not touch the brake fluid unless all 4 corners have brand new brake pads. I don’t know how many vehicles I have worked on that as soon as you do brake pads on, it’s clear the owner has topped off the brake fluid thinking it was low, but the reality was that the brake pads were due for a change and the brake caliper pistons were fully extended

I'm putting the recommendated 6 quarts but it's on the bottom hole on the stick.

After topping off transmission do you let it sit like engine oil to check the kevel or can you just check it as you fill

🚨🚨🚨 yall check your manual! The transmission check is not the same as the motor oil! I have to have a hot motor press the break pedal and switch through all shifts waiting 3 sec in between then put on park and wait 3 min before checking!! This is not the correct way! 👎

The only problem I see with your video is that your TRANSMISSION FLUID level checking procedure you display and recommend is incorrect and therefor the reading will be incorrect. The engine being warm has nothing to do with the transmission fluid, for starters. Second, you need to run it through each and all of the gears for a few seconds in each and then repeat them all on the way back to park. Only then, will the reading on the tranny fluid level be accurate and reliable.

So how much oil does each of the 5 holes on the oil dipstick represent??

The 4 spaces between the 5 holes represent 1/4 of a quart. So the top hole represents a full engine, and every hole after that is 1/4 of a quart low.

Uhh the transmission stick isn’t same looking at the oil, it has a hash mark area and two holes. Mines shows as dead middle of the hash marks which seems lower after a transmission service. Your video left this part out on the stick.
