Always best to check the hub bearings first. If the bearings have too much play this makes it impossible to properly true the rim due to the hub moving in relation to the axle. :-)

Can you please do a video on checking that your crank is in good condition
@Metal-Possum7 жыл бұрын
The biggest issue with uneven spoke tension or broken spokes, is that the loads are transferred elsewhere, and/or the spokes that are lose fatigue quicker due to the increased forces put onto them under accelerating and braking. Bicycle wheels usually come with 36 spokes or so, not because it gives you a few spare spokes, but because they're all doing an equal amount of work to keep your arse off the ground.

This is very ironic because yesterday I went to take my quick release axle out but it wouldn't go easy so I put some more pressure on and my inner axle popped out snapped pouring all the ball bearing everywhere (Good thing I can't ride for 5 nuts weeks with broken collarbone)

2 comments here......1) Is it recommended or even possible to true a wheel with an inflated tire on it? 2) Get a screwdriver, any screwdriver, put the tip on the axle and put your ear touching the other end, spin wheel and listen. If it sounds rough and grinding then it needs attention.

if you turn the axel by hand (while the wheel is out) is it normal, that there is a bit of resistance and that you can't give the axel a push so that it continues turning by itself?

My wheel is true but the tyre moves aside to side when rotating. Probably the bead not set in the rim properly. I've tried deflating and inflating many times but can't get it good. The front wheel seams fine tho ?
@lucianonarno14087 жыл бұрын
Radex 141 try putting some soapy water in the bead before inflating so the tire can seat properly, also you can inflate just a little bit and manipulate the tire side to side so that it is straight!

That's the thing about disc brakes - pretty much every time you take the wheel off, you'll need to readjust the calipers. Luckily, it's a 30 second job. Here it's also a good idea to remind everyone that should you be carrying a spare tube with you, you'll also need a multitool with hex keys in order to adjust your calipers.
@jeremyfrey23447 жыл бұрын

I’m enjoying the bike so far kzbin.infoUgkxMesz3KOGEmwmvyKQfLfrRSUXLFzfVHZA My only real complaints are the brakes and the pedals. I feel like a bike designed for bigger people should have much larger pedals and more heavy duty brakes. I’ve only gotten two really good rides out of it, minimal downhill action, and the brakes feel like they’re already going out. A larger person has more momentum, so I think this wasn’t thought through very well. Also, I wear size 13-14 wide shoes. My feet cramp up on these pedals that are clearly made for smaller feet. Since I’m not a pro rider (and I don’t think many are who purchase this bike) I don’t think that the straps on the pedal are necessary at all. None of this takes away from the enjoyment I get from riding, however. I’ll just head to a bike shop to improve on a few things.
