Which chains do you recommend for trail riding?
@slaverace12 ай бұрын
Hello James: We have a lot of great o-ring and x-ring chains that work very well for trail riding. I'm currently using the Renthal R3 but I've tried and tested all that we sell and they all provide a great service life. slavensracing.com/product-category/drive/chain/

Do you always change the chain and the rear sprocket together? I have 250 hours of easy dirt roads and trails on the original chain and rear sprocket a 300 tpi. Only changed the front sprocket. Have to do this test now, cheers!

Hello HKK: Yes, when the rear sprocket is worn out, so is the chain. Because the front sprocket rotates 4 times for every one rotation of the rear sprocket, it needs changed more often. At 250 hours you definitely got your money's worth out of your drive line. I usually change them at around 100 hours.
