A nice stress-free test. The presence of this sensor is one reason I prefer GDI systems. On port injected designs however, there USUALLY is an annoying absence (they love their mechanical regulators: Toyota, I'm looking at you!).

Depends on the communication protocol your car is built on, plus if your car has a fuel pressure sensor. Cars built on the CAN bus protocol usually have fuel pressure sensors and will output desired and targeted as part of live data.

If you go into Diagnosis and select the Engine module, and then live data, you should have the fuel pressure sensor data. The car is CAN OBDII protocol right?

I haven't used a XTool D8 BT but from the specs I've seen online, it's meant to be on the same level with the MP808BT. The only difference between the MP808BT and the MP808TS is that the latter has the capability to activate TPMS sensors and is able to program universal Autel TPMS sensors. All these 3 scan tools are able to code ECU's and are fully bidirectional.

Before I respond, can you double check the fuel trims you posted at 2500RPM... It will also help if you identify the fuel trims by banks.

I won't be bothered since it doesn't exceed 10. But your insinuation is right, if it continues and rises, possibly some restriction in fuel supply - clogging of injectors, fuel strainer, fuel pressure regulator or fuel pump. I usually start by dumping a can of a good injector cleaner in the tank...

never saw fuel pressure PIDs, must be Honda thing. wonder if Xtool D8 BT and Artidiiag/topdon 800 BT would show those two PIDs.

Can't believe I missed this comment! Apologies. Not really a Honda thing per say. It's seen in cars with a fuel pressure sensor. I expect both of those tools to have those PIDs in supported cars.

I have the Xtool D8 and works pretty much the same as saw with the Autel in this video. The D8 and all higher end Xtools are CONSTANTLY updated. I bought mine in 2021 with about 28 services on it, it's now up to like 40 services, they've changed the Live Data to allow 3 screens simultaneously etc

What if the vehicle doesn't run ? And there is no valve stem on the fuel rail

No you can't use this particular test. However, if the car uses the CAN protocol and above, you could get a sense by reading the fuel pressure sensor value in live data just with the ignition on. It's not definitive but should help. May also need to use a traditional fuel pressure tester if the car is not direct injection. There are kits you can connect to the fuel hose that leads to the fuel rail, and read the pressure from there.
