Tenkara flies really are underwhelming. It’s much better using western flies on a tenkara rod

stupid rule of thumb.... a big fish can, will take a small 'snack' but a small fish has a tiny mouth....

all my flies are 12 n smaller, with a LOT of 14s, I've caught BIG fish on those teeny hooks...
