Thanks so much for watching Day 1, especially to those of you who joined me for the live premiere. Just out of curiosity, which other strumming patterns have you tried for songs in the 4/4 time signature? - Kevin

Thank you, I'm so encouraged. I've been learning Uke for 18 months now, Developed nice calluses on my fingers and at times felt lost. Which strum to use was difficult .Found your lessons in October, I am moving forward with confidence . A light bulb went off this week, after practicing ALL your lesson I FEEL I'M FINALLY GETTING IT!!! I have even mastered some of the barre chords. You are a great instructor, I did take lessons for 8 months and quit because I was learning more from YOU. Congrats on that bundle of joy!

A very informative video. I struggle with what strumming pattern to use for songs that don’t tell you what pattern to use. I tend to use the island strum a lot for 4/4. Great explanation on counting too. Your hand is always sub dividing. Now, I understand how to count two arrows up in a row. Easy, don’t know why I never looked at it that way. Wait, I’m a beginner! I guess I’m allowed beginner brain. Thanks again, very helpful. And, congratulations on the newest addition to your family!!

Great job. I haven't touched my uke for nearly a year, all I learned I forgot. I was always instructed as to how the strumming was for a song, I never really gave it anymore thought. Recently I've been practicing chords and different progressions and I couldn't figure out how to strum. We recently moved and I've joined a uke Meetup and found a local store that has nothing but ukeleles, I plan on visiting them Wednesday. Thank you as soon as I received the message of this video, I watched it then practiced the strumming techniques counting. Thankfully the video was simple to follow. I look forward to learning more from you. Thanks again for an outstanding and easy to follow video.

I would give the world to learn how to play my ukulele like I sit down and play the piano - or similar to how people would play a classical guitar. Soooo many youtube channels on here that are great for chording and singing along, but I'd sure love to learn a finger picking style to simply sit down and enjoy just playing pretty songs on my ukulele. Do you offer that? (I'm looking for actual videos that teach how to play popular songs with finger picking...)
