Sorry, need some advice, i daily use a Holden torana run with 173ci 6cylinder. What type flowmaster Muffler recommended. As long as i knew, flowmaster just for V8 enggine. It is possible if i use flowmaster mufler for my Holden exaust and Will it worked and give same sound? Thanks.🙏🏾

I had a pair of 40 series delta flows welded onto my MKX because there isn't a system made for it lol. still very mellow sound because of a resonator further upstream

If you're looking for a muffler with a moderate exterior tone yet quieter in the cabin then our new FlowFX muffler (part # 71236) or the 50 Series Delta Flow (part # 842553) should be perfect. The FlowFX will be slightly louder than the 50 Series Delta Flow but neither are considered to be aggressive in tone. The part numbers that I provided are for mufflers with an offset inlet and offset outlet and for 2.50" exhaust piping. Those would be the ones to use if you're replacing the mufflers underneath the vehicle, not the resonators in the rear. After taking a look at the factory exhaust system I only have one muffler recommendation and it may be too aggressive for your liking. The factory muffler has a 2.00" inlet and a 1.75" outlet with the inlet and outlet on the same end cap of the muffler. The Flowmaster 80 Series Cross-Flow is the only muffler with configuration and is considered to have a pretty aggressive exhaust note. You can always take a few good photos of your current muffler and give us a call. You can email the photos to us and we may be able to get you an additional recommendation. I have a 2018 JK Jeep Wrangler. I want to get a new exhaust system but cant decide between axle back and cat back. My main question is, will I get any performance and mileage gains from a cat back? Because if not much I'd rather save some cash and get an axle back..

You'll get a little better performance out of a Cat-back system over an Axle-back system. This is due to the upgraded exhaust tubing that is used in the Cat-back that has a larger diameter over stock. Are we talking a difference of 10+ horsepower between the two options? I have a 2007 cadillac ext that I'm having a new motor put in and I asked for a Cat-Back stainless steel muffler and tailpipe to be installed. Do you think my mechanic can find the system for sale? No!!! He can't get them for four weeks no matter who he called. There are none already manufactured. What's the problem with their production system?

I have a 4.8 inline-six Nissan Patrol. Removed the cat and fitted a 50 series delta flow muffler. 3" pipe until the muffler and 2.5" from there. Sounds great but getting a bit too much interior resonance around 1500rpm. Fitting your 2.5" resonator tomorrow, which will hopefully sort that out.

The addition of a resonator will definitely help to curb the excessive resonance that you're experiencing. The 50 Series Delta Flow is not considered a highly aggressive muffler so it is a bit odd that you're getting that additional drone. We are not fortunate enough to get the Patrol here in the US so I do not know the specs on the vehicle. I question if the 3.00" piping prior to the muffler may be part of the issue. If your vehicle is NOT turbocharged, then the "throttling" effect going from 3.00" to 2.50" MAY have something to do with it. Using 2.50" piping throughout may help if the resonator does not. If the vehicle IS turbocharged then the reduction maybe acting as a light blockage causing the unwanted drone. An increase to 3.00" piping for the entire system may offer a performance advantage and help with drone as well. Those Nisan Patrols are pretty cool. I have seen some Patrol builds here on KZbin that have monster engine swaps. Please let us know how the new resonator worked out for you if you get the time. - Jason @ Flowmaster

Thanks for your responce. Fitted the resonator and it seems to have worked. Drone and sound levels are much better. Changing to a 2.5" throughout won't be worth the extra cash at this point.
