Ahhhh facial mists - I loooooove using them, because of the helped absorption but the pampering factor using them is so high 😁 I do typically save on these, but have only tried a couple of "luxe" mists, so maybe I just haven't found *the one* haha. So true, I have seen so many people say they are unnecessary and a waste of money, but every time I went without one I really REALLY missed it. So I just decided they were wrong (my personal very scientific approach lol). But I'm so happy to hear that the science has backed up what I really felt in my skin! YESssss! If I use a hyaluronic acid without first using a mist it totally pulls water OUT of my skin, instead of keeping it inside. The mists are magic, I am so on board ha 😁😍😍 I have gone through so many of the Mario Badescu rose water mists! I love the price (ofc) for what it is, and that it is actually rose water (I am so done with all of those rose fragrance only waters). I felt like I could get one on every corner when I lived in London and now I have to order it from abroad. Breaks a shoppers heart haha. Uggg the colorants are so incredibly unnecessary, and it always annoys me! I get wanting to color the product for marketing, but seriously, just tint the bottle instead if you really can't let it go. So OVER IT. I remember my skin really reacting to witch hazel, but it's been years since I tried it. Maybe I need to give it another go. Really interesting that the omorovi...... I can never spell this, but you know what I mean lol! that one, it's surprising it had the fewest humectants! OMFG I think you just sold me on the indie lee mist, that sounds YUMMY 😍 Gonna go add that to my shopping list now 😍 Thank you for sharing, super informative and interesting as always 😁💖 Two things I can be sure of watching your videos: I will learn something and my wallet will quiver lol.

Mists are a bit hard, I have tried many that I liked but didn't love. The Indie Lee (so far) has been the only one I consistently need to keep in rotation, it's just the best and has such an amazing ingredients list! HA is honestly a bit hard for me in my routine as well, because of the dry skin and dry climate that we experience here in Scandinavia. It takes a bit more planning than other products! The Rosewater Mario Badescu is definitely my favourite of the three! The Green tea is nice too but the Lavender is a bit agitating for me skin, so I will pass that one along to a friend :) I would love their sprays soooo much more if they didn't have the added perfume and colourants since the extracts already naturally contain both it seems totally unnecessary. No, worse than unnecessary since they are bad for your skin too! Awww thanks so much for such a lovely comment, you always leave the best comments! BTW I just picked up a Hourglass lipgloss because of your video hahahaha! I got the clear one, it just looked really versatile so I had to give it a try :)

Hi Kat, I really enjoyed that skincare routines video but lol on missing toners and essence. LOL. I didn't think mist was necessary either but I definitely believe in toners but I just started using them. LOL. Love your skincare videos and I definitely have been into skincare. I feel like I am 36 and really just started about 2 years ago so I'm behind. I heard the MB ones are great but I never tried it. Never thought about the colorants that are added. Really informative video and fw.
@KatarinaLuise4 жыл бұрын
Thanks so much! Mists are basically toners with a mist applicator, people like to separate them into different categories, but looking at the ingredients lists I don't see much difference between them except how you apply them. That said, not all mists have toning ingredients, so it's always important to check the lists to make sure it has good stuff for your skin! The MB ones are surprisingly good for the price, just wish they didn't add fragrance or colourants to them! Thanks again :)

@@KatarinaLuise Your very welcome and it would be nice if they remove the color and fragrance but I'm sure a lot of people love it for the fragrance.

Hi Kat, Thank you for your reviews. They are very helpful. Do you think essences or toners are important? Should one invest in an essence? My friend swears by SK-II essence. Is it a good buy, assuming serums and face creams are used daily?
@KatarinaLuise4 жыл бұрын
So glad you like them! Essences and toners are essentially the same things, there really isn't a distinction between mists, toners, and essences, and also a lot of overlap with water based serums. I personally think toners are really important, especially if you are using humectants (such as Hyaluronic acid, glycerin, butylene and Hexylene glycol) in your routine but they are a great way of gentling nourishing the skin while supplying that necessary hydration. Humectants are super absorbent so if there is not enough water on your skin or in the air, they can leach moisture from your own skin, so they are important accompaniment to hydrating products (unless you live in a super humid climate, then you don't need them!) These products are also easy to layer and play well with each other, so I really like including them in my routine. Alone they will hydrate your skin, but in a skincare routine they will really boost the other hydrating ingredients and get the best from the other products you used! I haven't tried the SK-II essence, but I think they are good products with low risk for skin irritation so a safe one to invest in :) Hope that helps!

Hi Kat, can you use the Indie Lee throughout the day to hydrate or just after cleansing? If not, what would you recommend to hydrate through the day?
@KatarinaLuise4 жыл бұрын
Great question, yes you can! Any mist which contains a humectant (such as Hyaluronic acid, butylene or hexylene glycol, etc) can be used throughout the day to hydrate. They can be used on their own to refresh, or layered before or after other humectants to make them even more effective. I use mine mostly throughout my skincare routine, but I am partial to using them after I get home from work in the summer on a hot day! You can try popping it into the fridge to make it extra refreshing too :)

Hi Kat, Have you used biologique reserchre p50? It would be great to have your thoughts on it. Thank you
@KatarinaLuise4 жыл бұрын
Thanks for the question! For me, it is way too intense. I would recommend it to someone who wants to correct a skin concern, but I wouldn't recommend it for normal and healthy skin since it's so harsh and strong. But lots of people use it and love it, so each to their own!

yes! I love their range! Really beautiful natural products. I think some of them are too active for my super dry skin, but it's an amazing range for a normal-combo skin type. My faves are the mist and the honey mud mask (I am waiting for it to come back!) what are yours? :)

Wait what how people often think adding more water to your skin is pointless🤯 leeching water from your skin that sounds terrifying👀😨 that’s right everyone uses the Mario badescu spray cause of the reasonable price!!!
@KatarinaLuise4 жыл бұрын
It's hard to beat the price of these sprays and they are decent products for sure! I am surprised how many hydrating ingredients they have, too bad about the added fragrance and colours! Actually using just water on your face and not following up with skincare is dehydrating to your skin :0 so it's important that they contain hydrating ingredients to actually carry the water into your skin!
