Well, when I trek, my camera gears occupy much space and I can't also do away with them. There remain one dslr body, three lenses, some filters and one tripod. Photography is the main reason why I began trekking. Please suggest, what kind of backpack will be suitable for me.

Hi @pradkphotography, I am Pritish, Filmmaker at Indiahikes. I would suggest you to carry 50 + 10 ltr, I have done explorations with 50 + 10 ltr backpack, while carrying my camera gears and drone with me. Keep your personal things as minimum as possible, you might have to adjust there, but it will help you be nimble on your feet to move quickly and capture photographs.

Front jip is very useful..,.. At the time of resting or when we r at tent front jip give us access to those items which are bottom of our back pack without disturbing the upper items..... This is my personal experience....

Hi Druv, that shot was taken at our Indiahikes Jungle line Campus in Manali, from where our Manali treks start.

Hi Swati. If there is a porter carrying most of load and the trekker would be carrying only what you need during the trek of that day before reaching the tea house. What size of the daypack do you suggest ---30L or 40L. I guess one would be carrying as gear fleece, rain gear, water bottles and photography equipment and some small miscellaneous stuff. Appreciate your response.

Hai swati,I am 50 I do one day treks maximum taken 3 day trek to agasthiakoodam,Kerala.First time to 3 day trek my backpack weight is about 5 kg,I got tired soon .So during second time I reduced the weight to 1.5 kg and found the teek easy and enjoyable. So my question is whether I can trek like that in himalayan trek like kedar kanta or dayara bugyal ?
@vipulguptaАй бұрын
Those treks are atleast 5-6 day treks, so the clothes and stuff you need would weigh much more than 5kg as per my understanding. So if you want to enjoy and not bother about weight then better take a porter service in those treks. I have seen people do that, and then they just walk with virtually nothing to carry almost. Indiahikes does give that option if you inform them from before. You can check with them, I am not from Indiahikes.
