The Centek single piece construction spring bow centralizer originated way back in ca 2000. It is a pleasure to see that Weatherford, the largest centralizer manufacturer, not having really brought anything new to the industry, have learnt from others reference their 'VariForm' line. Sad about their spurious description!

The large one makes great protector removers from the pin end before stabbing. Also, many always make there way to the pit.

I recently watched a video where they used one for the very purpose you described. At the time I thought that it was a tool. Having seen this video I figured out that it just happens to make a great tool beyond its intended purpose.
