Your depiction is not accurate, the "conductor' "jet string) and "surface " casing are run in open water before the BOP is deployed. Those strings can not be run thru a 21" ID riser. 22" casing has the high pressure wellhead housing on top, and that is what the BOP connector latches to and seals the wellbore from open water. Also, most 'deepwater' wells have more than 4 strings of casing in them. STAMPEDE has 9 strings not including the completion tubing run. A deepwater rig moves too much to effectively run a CRT tool, and we DO build casing into 3 joint stands and run from the derrick, as well as bring 'doubled" casing joints to run from the riser skate, thus cutting our run times significantly. When I worked for Frank's Westates in Vernal, Utah, we didn't have these videos. They just tried you out green. They wanted to know if you could pull slips for hours on end and whether you could actually follow instructions. And you had to be okay with working at twenty below. Colder than that in parts of Wyoming. I jumped in and out of a lot of pipe tubs. Hopefully, they've done away with them. They're dangerous.

Has anyone ever thought of assembling casing in strings of three and running them into the well that way to speed up the process? On a land rig the casing could be assembled with a spinner at the mouse hole and the stored in the pipe racks to await the CRT running them into the hole.

Hey! I know there are a couple of rigs here in the North sea of Norway that does this, except that they only do it with two at a time. Ive been told that one "side" runs the double casing sections, while the other side turns the two casing sections together. When they have lowered the string down to the ocean and the double casing section is ready they lift it over so that it can be joined with the string going into the ocean. And repeat. Know this is late, but hope this answers your question

We do that on the Deepsea Stavanger in Norway. Three joints pr stand. When run in hole we do 20 stands pr hour with 9 5/8" casing. (60 joints) Odfjell Well Services.

fascinating. An idiot doubt. Geological speaking, how shall I say. .the crude bed or the crude pocket is empty, what can happen? I mean, the crude exploration caused void. So..the " void " or empty reservoir can cause a sismic movement? My english is a shocker...
