Thank you Robert for sharing , it is inspiring i actually also had temple and upenn and pacific , i want to ask you a question , i checked the tuition it is about 100K MORE to go to pacific + interest, i m interested in pacific same as you did but do you think it is worth 100 K more in debt or more? I d like to know your opinion Just to mention i m an internationally trained dentist so both programs for me d be 2 years only in either school, so i wont benefit from the shorter program in my case , so do you think the extra tuition is a good idea in my case of o want pacific v Also another question Robert, since program of pacific is 3 year, is the 3rd year only rotations and clinic as i assume is the case in temple last year )& no academic and written exams , or due to 3 year program in pacific we take lectures and exam in final year ? Please advice Thank you very much robert

Hi Robert Zhou! Thank you for the detailed information. I am trying to decide on which dental schools I want to apply to and your advice is really helpful! This may be a silly question but how did you look for the information about the programs provided by each university? I am having trouble finding these information I need to make my decision on the programs. Do you call the schools to find out the information, or do you have a way to orient yourself on the school websites?

HI Wini- Thanks for leaving this comment and I am glad you asked because I'm sure others might be thinking the same thing! If you want an overview of each dental school in the U.S and Canada an excellent resource would be the "2021-2022 ADEA Office Guide to Dental Schools" (I'll link below). This helped me see the stats for each school (average GPA, DAT, how many people applied, in-state vs out of state..etc) and provided a great overview of each school's dental program. For $35 I think it is highly worth it if you want to get to know each school better and see where you stand to their incoming class averages. Another way, like I mentioned, is to just explore their website and read about their program! If you feel comfortable, ask current students in those respected dental schools about their experience and see if that is something you wish to have. Lastly, some schools have programs or events that allow you to explore their dental school and even allow you to practice drilling in their sim-lab. I know UOP has a Bootcamp (www.dugonipdb.com/) and a lot of other school leadership organize "Impressions day" where you can learn more about their program, see their clinic, and participate in their dental lab.
