I ordered this to net the algae in a large pond in our backyard. kzbin.infoUgkxphFK7ETiDP5G4IGsNcg7vbASDp_YfDpI The net is very sturdy and easy to maneuver in the water. The angled edges make it easier to get into the smaller spaces among the rocks. I didn't realize that the front of the net doesn't actually have a frame to it, just the sides do, but it seems to work just fine. The handle extends to various sizes, which is a great feature when I'm in areas that are tight with shrubs at the edges of the pond. I can collapse the handle so it doesn't get stuck in the bushes.

Braided line with a flourocarbon leader is the tried and true for me. Gives excellent cast ability with very low risk of breaking in the rocky shores i like to fish.

@Dr.EmmettBrown.3 жыл бұрын
Mono isn’t the worst thing ever for jerkbaits. You might lose some action from the stretch. However that stretch does help with not ripping treble hooks out. Whatever works best for you though

Great start on this channel, keep ‘em coming. One thing to ask on line, when are you tying on leaders? On my spinning setups I always run braid (better casting) but because I’m typically running more finesse tactics I always have a flouro leader....on top water/frogs or jigs, or cranks...if you are using braid, are there any applications you run a leader on?!? Thanks!

My reels all have recommended line thickness and strength listed on the sides.... but they are pretty old.... My question is do I (can I) use thinner modern lines on them, is it even a good idea? Or do I just try to match the diameter to what is specified on the reel... (I did check and I see modern reel spools are smaller so they can use the new thinner lines.

Ok squad, need your thoughts. Got a 6.1:1 baitcaster on a 7ft medium heavy fast action rod, gonna be trying to learn bass tactics this year, been awhile since I've done any fishing. What line or line combos would you recommend for a basic all-round setup? I'm in south-central Ohio but will hopefully be traveling around with my paddling club to various places. Any advice would be greatly appreciated! Thanks Googans!

Ive used braid and i must say i did not like it one bit there is a lot off friction and i could cast less than half the legth that i normaly cast i have also talked to a lot of other people that has also said that they did not like braid because of the friction and that it gets super tangled really easily so personaly i would never Get braid again
