How To Choose Which Scooter To Rent in Bali

After so many years of riding so many different scooters (and other bikes) in Bali I point out the pros and cons of what's available on the rental market in the way of scooters and suggest what might suit you best from beginner to expert

The seats on the scoopy kill your ass within 20 minutes. Not ideal for long distance travel, the same goes for Vario. Go for Yamaha NMAX or Honda PCX. The only advantage of the scoopy and vario is you can squeeze in between cars easier as the Max and pcx are fair bit wider and heavier.

My suggestion is the Yamaha nmax. It's a 155cc, full auto and very roomy. They go for up to 150k Rupiah for a near new one.

My insurance policy allow to ride a scooter up to 200cc, I like the nmax, do you have a recommendation where to rent one and how much per day for 2 weeks ?

Nmax is a minimum of about IDR90,000 per day. Any rental place is fine. They line the streets in the South otherwise ask your hotel and have it delivered from a friend/contact of theirs. Enjoy! W

lexi is 125cc lol, for urban ride i prefer vario 150, for longer ride i prefer nmax 155 or aerox 155

Lexi has different motors and formats. The one in the vid is a 155cc. I think the 125cc is a different model? W
