What do you recommend for an all around scope for hunting deer and elk? I’m not looking to shoot past 400 yards

I couldn't decide for my AR15, so I went 1.5-15x lol. Good enough for 0-1000 yards. Have near top tier glass to back it up.

What if your ar is a six max or 22credmore? 1800 hundred if you have enough elevation

You should be ashamed of your self field of view is decided by tube size and front lens size not lower powers scopes. Shot a red fox at 900 wards with an ar 6 arc with a 5-25 x 56 arken less than 600 bucks with the mounting kit. O that fox was from the front porch with a tripod. CZ 22 mag with 4-16 ir 500 yard varmit getter
