This is fantastic. I'm going to use this to update all my research notes footnotes. The $20/year is a minimal expense. I spend more getting a copy of a single death certificate.

Wow, this is awesome! Thank you so much for this information! Citations have always been a battle for me and when I am struggling with them I just stop working on my documentation out of frustration. Very reasonably priced for premium as well.

Here is an interesting question, in regards to the premium feature, how'll you keep from crossing the haplogroups (bloodlines)? for example records indicate two different lines of decent for the same Surname in the same area like Northamptonshire, England. It is very easy to say this person is to that person when in fact he or she is not because of a different bloodline!

Cite-Builder is used to build the citation for the source of your information. It doesn't process the information itself.

We appreciate you not having alot of product sales on your channel. But this really helps us follow your teachings. The chore of “proper” citations can be cumbersome. Something we might procrastinate on finishing. But this seems to make it easier. Agree that macros can do the job, but are fragile, and can stop functioning. This platform makes it effortless, and I love that repetitive tasks are simplified. Thanks for sharing this with us.

This looks a very helpful resource. I've already started using Zotero because I want citations in a central place where I can update/edit them and also change the output format dynamically. That works so well I can't see myself switching to a copy/paste method but I can learn something from these template formats I'm sure
@ajutooboz
@ajutooboz 3 ай бұрын
Zotero is geared mainly towards scientific/medical/academic research. Cite-Builder has a lot more genealogy-specific source types, but if Zotero works for you that's great. At least you ARE citing your sources! 🙂

Evidence Explained is not the gold standard. You’re correct that you can spend days searching through it to find how to cite just one source. There’s a new book called “Simple Citations for Genealogical Sources.” It is very easy to use and I now am able to cite everything very easily.
