Yes, I agree about the respirator. BUT there are different respirator for different things. Make sure you know what to get. Is resin fumes considered vapor? If so, then you want a respirator for vapors

Why not use the one basket and move it to each tub?
@LanceJoshlin10 ай бұрын
You’d probably risk dragging trash resin over with it. Also I’d imagine those jars came with the baskets so why not use them, transferring the prints between baskets allows for a little more cleaning during the transfer process.

Thank you for sharing this fantastic video! I own an Anycubic Photon M3 Max, and I've been experiencing some difficulties when printing a bottle cap. I recently acquired the Wash and Cure Max, and I must say, your approach yields much better results! However, I'm struggling with resin layer separation despite printing at a thickness of 0.05 as per the ABS-Like Resin Pro manufacturer's recommendations. Any advice you could offer would be greatly appreciated. Awesome video!

I live in tropical country, would you recommend to use sunlight to cure? And why do i need to dry it overnight, what big differences it would make?
@Silver803 Жыл бұрын
You can use sunlight, it just takes longer. instead of a few minutes itll be several hours
@valentinfigueroa5663 Жыл бұрын
you'd want to make sure prints are dried completely or risk the chance that they'd leave a chalky white residue when they cure. Drying it overnight is extensive but long as they look dry enough, you should be good

How long does it take your flashlight to cure trace / very small amounts of resin when cleaning up as you described to make it safe?
@3DPrintingMinis Жыл бұрын
Resin is toxic so I'm not sure it's every actually 100%. You'll need to contact your resin's manufacturer for an answer to this question.

Concerning the "drying over night", I dont think they are drying from the IPA, they're just chilling. 99% IPA dries in like a minute or two if its just a small coating and does not leave residue. Just pointing that out.

Hi! I´m new to this. I tend to make a mess of my working area when removing and cleaning the prints. Are those silicone mats easy to clean? How do you dspose of supports and papers? Cure it and to the trash? And how do you clean the utensils? (Spatula, funnel....) Could yo make a simple video on that? sometimes the easiest things tend not to be explained in detail.

How long do you put the prints under a UV light after washing?

Just curious why did you go from Mean Green to IPA? Trying to maybe go with less of an aggressive chemical smell and was thinking towards the mean green. Thanks.
@3DPrintingMinis Жыл бұрын
I figured out a way to clean my prints without needing the ultra sonic cleaner. Plus, when the ipa gets dirty I can transfer the good top part to another container and then cure and evaporate off the unsalvageable remaining ipa. Using the Simple Green made too many containers of murky waste liquid that I needed to take to the special waste dump. And ipa has come down in price considerably since the height of the pandemic, so it’s easier and more affordable to get.

@@3DPrintingMinisYou’re using the Ultrasonic incorrectly. Please don’t put any chemicals in your ultrasonic besides distilled water. My ultrasonic has a basket in it because parts should never touch the bottom. Use a smaller Tupperware container and lid with IPA and set it in the basket of the ultra sonic being sure that its submerged. If needed you can hot glue some weight on the bottom so that it wont float. Leave it in there 3-5 minutes and let it clean your parts. This is much better than a shake, or stir. That is it, nothing else and and guess what? Now you can use your ultrasonic for any type of cleaning and by always using the proper cleaner per item and never contaminating the ultrasonic machine it saves time, materials, IPA, etc, and most of all it saves your equipment. Give it a try.

Honestly, I'm kind of shocked that you talk (and now that I think about it, a lot of people the resin print) about the IPA burning your nose, but not seeming bothered about taking the prints out of your printer. Personally, while I wouldn't call the smell of IPA pleasant, resin stinks to high heaven for me, even through a mask, and IPA doesn't really burn my nose either. If just dealing with IPA was the only thing I had to worry about with resin printing, mine wouldn't be collecting dust in the attic until I decide to take another crack at it.
@IIIReptarIII-TCPH Жыл бұрын
If you can smell the resin through the mask, you have a poor seal / bad respirator. A N95 isn't going to help, you need a full on respirator mask. I suggest the PD-101 full face, and remember the cartridges only last about 3 hours before you need to change them. Hope this helps.
