I live alone in a tiny senior apartment, so i pretty much clean as i go day to day. I'm thankful that there's no male urine splatter to contend with in the bathroom in which case i would "pre-treat" the floor (and surrounding walls) with white vinegar. This is a great video for use in high school homemaking classes.

ASA Will definitely used this method. It is very difficult to use a mop around the commode. After mopping I also like to sweep the floor again..... Like the idea of use hydrogen peroxide.. Thumbs up!

Why do we mop after disinfecting it?

In order for the disinfectant to effectively break down the dirt and grime it has to remain on the surface for a certain amount of time (contact or dwell time). Mopping after disinfecting allows us to clean the floor with a back and forth scrubbing motion, now that the disinfectant has broken down the dirt and grime. This way, when we are cleaning a surface we are not spreading around dirt and grime.
