I bought a PC monitor not too long ago because I'm about to build my first PC. While assembling the parts on the monitor and moving it onto my desk, I got all my fingerprints all over the screen. Thanks for your instruction. Previouly I made a mistake and used 75% isopropyl alcohol with microfiber wipe on my monitor. LG support teams warn me that it's forbidden to use the cleanser with alcohol. Usually I only need to wet half of the wipe and clean the screen. It would not damage the screen severely if I only use the alcohol once.

10/10 video man just wanted to add any isopropyl alcohol would work as a cleaner to as I use it on all my pc parts and really gets rid off all the gunk. also very cheap from Bunnings :)

Make sure you designate the micro towel for screen cleaning only and don't use it for cleaning other surfaces. Make sure the towel and screen doesn't have any small sand grit or other particles stuck that could end up ruining the screen. I usually designate one color micro towel for cleaning LCD screens, and other colors for glass or shelves. This way it prevents cross contaminating, picking up chemicals/cleaning solution residue left over from other surfaces.

Hello first thanks i got a new screen for my PC and when i cleaned it for the first time i used wet napkins 😅and it make my screen worse like you can see the after place stains all over the screen i thought i will have to live with this mistake for ever 😢and i was sad but when i have seen the video and tried to clean with wet micro fiber met it became as good as new my only regret is not taking photos for before and after cleaning 😊😊 but i am super happy with having my screen back to as i bought at first so thanks so much🎉🎉🎉

I know I’m late but my mom used to clean my monitor with windex and a napkin or sometimes Clorox wipes and I told her to stop doing it because I had a feeling it was bad so I searched it up and this whole time I’ve been doing it wrong, well my mom. But my monitor is okay I guess, I’m just scared. Sometimes when I turn it on at the very bottom of the screen it glitches like if it’s broken or something it only does it for a few seconds then it stops and sometimes it turns off by itself for like 2 seconds then turns back on. It doesn’t happen very often. Am I gonna have to buy a new monitor or is it gonna be ok?

My screen got a little scratch even after I cleaned it with a microfiber cloth. It's very little and unnoticeable, but quite annoying I know it's there. Why did this happen?

It wouldn’t have been the cloth or the cleaning method. The only way that could have happened is if there was a hard small fine piece of something stuck in your cloth when you wiped the screen. That small piece of debris would have done the scratching.

@@eclinor no those are for windows. You would need something specifically designed for electronics. Windex makes an electronics wipe. Mighty be worth checking out.
