Fantastic effort. I am acquiring a house and I know virtually nothing about pellet stoves; you made my day! Thank you for taking the time to film and post a very informative video as well as the nomenclature for all of your tools/implements. Well done!

Very helpful video. However, I would have cleaned the heat exchanger before cleaning the sides and the burn pot. Working from the top down makes the most sense to me.

My top of the line Lennox is so much easier to clean but it's set up different. I also have it installed where I can pull the stove completely outside and using an air compressor I am able to clean everything out. It's surprising just how much dust accumulates inside the system. For you new Pellet stove owners or buyers be advised that each stove has it's own little Quirks and you will get to know your stove more each time you use it. I think of mine as a living breathing little Lady that once you know her and treat her right she will keep you warm for years. I must also say that as people we are what we eat and the same goes for Pellets meaning only use the best you can find so do your research and never go cheap because you will not be happy.

Great vid. I'm new to a Harman PS. Other then the obvious of daily cleaning the burn pot and emptying the ash box. Is this a yearly clean you just showed us? TY in advance.
@5MinuteFixit3 жыл бұрын
During the heating season when the stove is running 75-100% of the time I usually will do the stove part of the cleaning weekly or bi-weekly and the pellet vent/chimney every 3 or 4 weeks. Thank you for watching, hopefully this helps!

I noticed you did not clean the horizontal portion of the flue pipe that leads from the stove through the wall to the vertical pipe outside the house. Good video anyway.
@5MinuteFixit5 жыл бұрын
Jeff J cleaning that part of the pipe can be done from the inside with the Gardus Soot Eater after removal of the temperature probe. Thanks for the compliment, please consider subscribing if this video helped! Thank you!
