THIS IS Exactly how to clean and cook chitterlings only difference is I put chopped bell peppers and onions and garlic in mine. Good video tutorial. That’s why I don’t eat nobody’s chitterlings but my own. Folk ain’t cleaning them it takes time and neither is these soul food restaurants. You are fast cleaning them it would take me 3 hours to do 10lb bucket. ❤️😋

Your video/demonstration is one of the most educational “How To” I’ve ever watched. I grew up just an ole country boy, I’m white and can proudly sat I have eaten so many time this exact meal, most people will never admit they have eaten Chitterling’s. I truly appreciate your time and sharing your families recipe and your heartfelt LOVE for us viewers to enjoy. I look at youtube all the time for this very method of cooking, needless to say, Mom has already bought her Chitterlings and will have this delicious dish on the table. Thank you and Gob Bless.

I'm African-American and this is my first time trying to cook chitterlings. My grandma made it and I had refused it because of the smell when I was little. Then I went to a Colombian restaurant once and friends ordered something with a different name, but gave me some to try. I loved it and asked them what it was and they said pork intestines. I said OMG, these are Chitterlings!!! From then on I realized I really missed out on a great food from my own culture that I should've tried and appreciated. I asked my mom to buy some (she had them before). We bought it but did'nt know how to prepare them. I't looks like a lot of work, but it's worth it. So I really appreciate your comment. Keep passing this down to your generations. I hope I don't mess up my first batch. Take care!

I did 5lbs a couple days after Father's Day and another bag on August 5, this year. 10lbs no way that I could stand up that long to clean and wash them. This morning I started at 11:45am and was finished at 3:30pm. And I was glad when I was finished. I had none in so many years so I decided to do it when I felt good to do it. It's a job and you want to do it right and at a time when you really want to clean and wash them. I love chitterlings raised off of it as a child when was living in the Country. Thanks for sharing.

My family did this too! But not with this food. My grandpa had a huuuuuuuge vegetable garden so when it was harvesting time we’d all go there and help harvest the vegies. My grandma would make roasted peppers and can them in oil and my parents and aunts and uncles prepped tomato sauce. In the background we often had a pig on the spit going. Cousins all around playing and laughing. It was a very fun time and a lovely memory! Hugs for you too nana Lynn! Please keep doing your videos! Learning how when I was young it was the same way. Great family times and memories made chatting about Aunt Emma's ingrown toe nail, Why that young man hanging around you is up to no good. Church sermons and how it applies to you at home / work. Many hands make light work. Nothing but the squeal. I do hope to see more from Lynn's Kitchen. Thank you. OPPS! I'm Marcia, Dan's wife. lol

So when you cook them you don't have to add water to them at all? I noticed you put some water in after you skimmed the first grease off but in the beginning you didn't add water at all. I'm learning so that's why I am asking
@lynnskitchen85854 жыл бұрын
When you put them in the pot, the Chitterlings will make it's own liquid. I replaced the liquid with water so they will cook properly. The Chitterlings need the liquid/water to cook. Keep asking questions, I will walk you through the process.

I respect the fact of your tradition but, consider the fact that it still has a smell of a little poop 💩 shows that it has not gone away completely. Also your eating the area that was produced to pass poop through. Lets just do a little better being logical. You do seem sweet. I just thinking maybe wht type of health problems such as high bp ❤
@dwaynehammond9709 Жыл бұрын
Good looking , but I will tell you , there will be NO poop in these Chitterlings. You have to understand the process. These Chitterlings are washed rinsed cleaned at least 10-15 times. Before washing, each piece is inspected and cleaned and the membranes is taken out of each piece. So nope No poop. You have to take in consideration that this is not a meal that she eats all the time. Only during Thanksgiving time which is once a year. She checks her BP daily and it's good. So again Nope No poop. Merry Christmas to you and your family

Everyone has a personality. Some people are shy. Some people say little. Some people talk. This is what makes the world go round. My wife and her whole family are talkers. IF you are irritated by her being her and you want her to be someone else, it's not going to happen. This is who she is, if you are that irritated go to another channel that is teaching this method. You don't have to watch. Question Has anyone told you to change who you are and you did it? We must allow people to be who they are as long as they are not doing any harm. You STOP being so insensitive and learn to get to know people. We are not all the same.
