OMG. Thank you for your video. This was JUST what I wanted to know. I watched the whole video from start to finish. Miele should pay you for your video as their ones are useless and not very helpful at all. I have saved this vidoe to my playlist as it is really resourceful. Thank you again

A bit of advice is,, When you have finished using the washer always leave the detergent drawer and the main door open slightly. It saves it smelling.

Very helpful, Had I realized the amount of cleaning and maintenance and expensive cleaners I would not have bought the Miele washer and dryer (which doesn't really dry anyways!)

Love your channel! I have a washer and dryer addiction too! Just love your collection. Had a Miele W5873 and T8861WP and the PCB just died on the washer so just bought a new Miele WWI860 and TWL780. Hopefully they will be just as good. I did way more than 20 years of use in the 12 years I had them. Loved your IFA videos as well. Lucky you have those cool fairs there. We don’t get that here in Australia!

My WTH120WPM twindos worked for 7 years and just started leaking badly. I never used the cleaner as I didn't see the point as Miele only advise to use it if the machine is not used for a longer period of time to stop it gunking up. It looks like the 4 o-rings on the connectors deteriorate over time so I have ordered new ones to replace them. You can see/access the o-rings if you push the sides of the connectors back inside the twindos bay.

Looking at this model but it’s a considerable purchase, can I ask are you happy with it? And also do you rate the twin dos?? Many thanks

@@melaniefleetham1349 yeah I really like it and have the matching dryer now. There were a few things I didn’t like nearly a year back but some major stuff was fixed by a software update for the machine through the app. About twindos it’s a good concept but is known for major issues so I have it completely deactivated now and never use it but I’m not a fan of any autodose systems anyway much prefer to dose the detergent myself haha.

@@Washerboy2006 bought a brand new set, very similar to yours with Twin Dos. Do you suggest I don't use the Twin Dos at all and stick with self dosing? Even if I maintain it and clean it out after every bottle empties and before I install a new bottle, so clean the twin dos 6-8 times a year, would you still recommend not using it? I have a. 10 year guarantee on them but want to avoid any major issues. They are a month old and replaced 12 year old Mieles. I appreciate your videos and your great advice! Cheers

@@Audios81 it’s really up to yourself but if you run the twindos maintenance thing every time a bottle empties I recon it should be fine. I think it’s mainly the ultraphase 2 piping that can leak. because of ultraphase 2 being a bleaching agent it corrodes through the rubber over a period of time if it just sits in it and is never cleaned. I heard rumours a while back that the o rings that the ultraphase bottles push into could damage and leak too but apparently it was due to a flaw with the bottles. They used to have a piece of metal foil over the bottle opening that you had to peel off before sticking it in the machine but the foil made the opening to the bottle really sharp. Miele make the bottles now with a small orange cap instead so recon that issue should be sorted.
