L.o.l mama caught me washing an old Tecumseh paper airfilter in the washing machine once.... Oddly enough people dont seem to know you can wash a paper air filter

KartFab I usually throw it in the dishwasher overnight then dip in a pail of 15w 40 in the morning.

Motomark 212 Its crazy eh, on my engine I kept blowing the piston ring bearings, then someone told me that I should put some oil on the filter. So I did and so far I haven't blown any piston ring bearings yet!

Great video Grant I kept the briggs&stratton 6.5 like you recommended and made an air adapter out of a 2 and half inch PVC cap and drilled out the muffler I can't seem to find a stage 1 kit for my engine and all the air adapter I saw online just didn't look right so I made 1 has a lot more power but of course it runs lean I can't find a .038 jet for my carburetor even your link from the stage 1 video with your nephew it seems they don't offer a lot of mods for my briggs 6.5 I'm think my only option is to carefully drill out the jet but what 1 I have 2 one is the bowl nut main jet then the 1 in the carb do I dill both to the next size or just the main I appreciate any advice you can offer thank Chase 👍😁✌ PS I have a video of the cart on my channel before I started doing the stage 1

Buy a set of #60-#80 drill bits and check your size first. For example the predator main jets are about .028” and they are jetted .033-.038” depending on mods. Go slowly. The other jet might be your idle pilot. Check to see if you can adjust idle mixture. If you are unsure, it’s typically best to leave idle pilot alone. It’s very easy to overdrill the idle pilot.

@@KartFab Thanks Grant for taking the time to help I appreciate the info GREATLY 😁👍 I drilled out the bowl nut jet last night and put it back together and it does idle with out the choke now but when I hit the gas there is almost no power and is very loud so I ordered a new muffler and bowl nut and I'm just gunna keep the Briggs stock it's a good engine that way very frustrating lol but I'm thinking of get a Tillotson 212 they have have more regularly available parts and mods I would get a predator but hear Tillotson is a little better quality for a cheap engine your or should I go with the predator? I just don't want to be frustrated and have to Jerry rigg everything lol I love the video with you and your nephew doing the stage 1 it was the way it should be clean neat work area the rite tools rite parts 👍😁👍 Thanks Grant hope life is great GOD BLESS ✌😁👍

The predator 212 hemi and tillotson 212 are about the same, but you are right, the tillotson has better machining tolerances and it will rev higher stock than a predator. All around a better engine. If you are on a budget, the predator costs less, but if you want a quality engine that is built with modifications in mind, the tillotson is the way to go.

KartFab Cool I've almost got mine running on a Subaru robin 21 ex with stage 4 build running a smog pump as the supercharger. I''m hoping I'll be able to make around 10 psi of boost spinning at 8000 riplems 👍🏼 good way to shorten an engines life,

Will a 4.9 pound billet flywheel meant for a 5hp flathead work on a 8hp flathead and also do I need a billet flywheel if I’m only putting in a billet rod and removing the governor or is the stock one good if there’s no cracks?
