Holy apple jacks batman, its the riddler 😦 I have a hydraulic brake caliper setup i bought off amazon for like 30 bucks I think its for a dirt bike or something but its pretty good quality. Even has a spot for a brake light to attach. My problem is my frames custom built so I'm hoping to get some mounting braket ideas.

how do you bleed these brakes? i have the same brakes on my go kart and i can’t seem to figure out why they won’t bleed or work, they are brand new just won’t squeeze hard enough to stop
@KartFab8 ай бұрын
Gravity. The air bubbles go up. Position brake low and let bubbles go up.
@ratoneJR3 жыл бұрын
You want really good stopping power? Put that hydraulic disc brake on the front wheel. Cable disc is good enough for the back. You did say you could lock up the cable operated back brake. How much more rear stopping power do you need? Front brakes provide the most stopping power, by a big margin.

My brakes the pad closer to tue piston will move out further and further and then eventually gets locked but idk how to make it where it returns once I let go
@KartFab8 ай бұрын
When you install, use full pads. If it’s locking up it’s a problem with alignment. I squeeze brake pads to the rotor then weld support in place for perfect alignment.

Grant, maybe you're the guy to do this one. a brushless ducted fan unit is what's used for electric model jets, they're a radial compressor type blade, 5-6-7-9-11 blade fan are pretty common, and they can deliver thrust in the POUNDS (especially larger units). what they DON'T tell, is how many BAR, or how much pressure can be developed before the propeller goes cavitation. they're controlled by an ESC, which can be programmed for power curves. now look at Tillotson fuel injection, which can be controlled with pulse width and frequency, so really all that'd be needed is a "brain" using input from the crankshaft RPM to control the forced air and fuel injection, this could be tinkered with like a full size car's ECU. some ducted fan are about 50-60-70 mm diameter, imagine hiding THAT inside an air filter. sure it'd need a 3S or 4S LiPo battery to run it, but it might be possible to program+wire the contraption to run a normal default, or hold a momentary switch down for boost engage, where the ducted fan gets powered up and the normal fuel injection signal gets fattened up. now for more fun, software so you can program the thing with an Android.

I upgraded my Doodle Bug from cable actuated brakes to a hydraulic kit just like this one, and it worked great for about 3 rides. Then it started sticking shut and the ONLY WAY to make it release is to roll the mini bike backwards. Doing this will release it instantly every time, so now I must come to a complete stop every single time I must apply the brake - even a little bit - and then back up for a few inches before I can continue on my way. Does anybody have a clue how to stop this madness?
@KartFab4 жыл бұрын
Sounds like a sticking pin. Grease up the pin, then decompress. Could be bad alignment as well.
