I like that pool table brush idea. That shoe care box your dad left you has great looking oak! Quite a treasure. I have watched both of your roughout videos. Do you prefer oiling or waxing the roughout, and why? THANKS for this video!
@maxwellhouseranch10043 ай бұрын
@krazmokramer thanks, I prefer oil during the dryer months of the year, waxing the boots definitely has its advantages over oil when it's wet out.

How long after you apply the wax does it take for the boot to lighten up to where it looks like it did in the beginning of this video or does it stay dark ?
@maxwellhouseranch10049 ай бұрын
The boot lightens up again. It takes a couple weeks. Then the boot looked like it did prior to the video.

@@maxwellhouseranch1004 I just got a pair of the 10" roughout brown loggers and waxed them as I was watching your video. I agree with you, these boots are every bit as quality as the other brands made in the PNW and for the price point, can't be beat. I will say I have been wearing a pair of Frank's Patriots daily for nearly 20 months now and they have really stood the test of time. I do heavy industrial pipe fitting/plumbing and well drilling and i'm shocked how well these Patriots have taken the abuse.

I called Drew’s last week to get I formation about the fit of the boots, I have read so many reviews regarding the fit of the boots that I wanted to make sure I order the correct size. Boots seam to be extremely wide to be a D width for what I can see on the videos, unfortunately I didn’t get any valuable information or actual help for that matter, the personnel answering the phones are incompetent and lack the knowledge needed to provide any valuable help, disposition to help is not there, all I got was “ You need to order soon because lead times are getting longer and price will go up “ I can’t just blindly order a product when there’s no information provided specially in footwear where fitment is the most important part of the purchase.

The prices on these boot shouldn't go up unless inflation drastically goes up. Drews makes these boot in Mexico so they can hit this price point. And I got a 9.5 d and there not super wide. They actually fit great. I wear a size 11 in vans and a size 10 in 90% of all other boots. I would suggest to go down a half size from your other boot size or a size and a half from your sneaker size. It worked out perfectly for me. You can not get a better boot then these for the price. They are just as good as any pnw boot out there

You’re definitely a smarter man than I am. I destroy boots in eight months or less. The current boots are destroyed. The souls are gone. I’ve only had them since October my doctor and everybody tells me I work too hard for my. It would be nice to work in a clean environment that does it. That doesn’t destroy all your PPE and your body

Listen to what this guy says. He ROTATES two pair of boots. I have chronic athlete's foot and one of the easiest and cheapest ways to mitigate it is to wear a different pair every day so the boots dry out fully between wearings. Two pairs of boots last longer than twice as long as a single pair. Allowing the boots to "recover" between wearings seems to make them last longer.

Any word from Kyle baker after going down to Mexico? Is he a partner with Drew’s?
@maxwellhouseranch1004 Жыл бұрын
He is one of the owners, and yes he went down and told me that they worked out some stuff and looks like they should be all caught up in about three to 4 weeks. So they are going to be rolling out a lot of boots very soon.

The Frank’s Patriot would most certainly able to be be rebuilt. It’s a cost thing. Franks only charges about fifty dollars less for a rebuild than a new pair of boots cost.
@maxwellhouseranch1004 Жыл бұрын
On Frank's website, it says they are resoleable, not rebuildable. I'm just going off what the site says. I'm sure they can be rebuilt. However, they are not mentioning that as an option for that boot.
