How to clean Artisan Mousepads (Cloth)

I hope this shit helps. side note I recommend you clean your mouse pad when it after it gets shipped from Japan I will cover this in a later video.

@@OKBUDDY21 over months and months of doing this. It does slowly wear the pad down. The Hien is really tough though. I've switched to using a mean Green carpet steam cleaner. Which is gentle and doesn't get the pad too wet. This method works in the video works. But again will wear the pad slowly over months

lol! So glad I have a sky pad 3.0. Just a simple swipe over top of it with a microfiber cloth from time to time. When I had an artisan mouse pad., zero . at my desk, I would just spray it with Lysol disinfected and use a microfiber cloth to clean it. Worked perfectly and the pad always looked and felt brand new afterward. That method is also actually recommended by artisan.

I have quite a few artisan pads and I just keep the cardboard sleeve they come in and store the mouse pad in the sleeve, then I put them down the side of my desk so they aren't taking up loads of room, that way when I swap pads It's unlikely they will be dusty, just thought I'd post this for anyone that's like me that has multiple pads and likes to swap. Ive had my artisan pad for over a year now and its really gunked up, all my previous attempts at washing it I was too gentle with it, I had never tried rubbing all the shit out with my hands. I did this like 2 years ago and it just slows the mousepad down. I mean the texture doesn't seem to be wash friendly and became slower than my brother's artisan zero. The hien can't really be washed without it slowing down because its very fragile. maybe if you wash it 3 times over different occasions until it slows down a lot but it definitely slows down maybe 5-10% each time depending on how hard you do it. maybe regular mouse pads slow down like 2% each wash but the hien basically can't truly maintain the same speed after washing it I'm pretty sure.

Maybe be careful the hien doesn't rub small pieces of the sponge off. The hien is abrasive and can rip/ shred what you clean it with. It might cause the sponge to get caught in the pad. But I hope it worked out for you!

Any cloth pad, Artisan or not, the moment you put that crap in the water, you can say bye bye to your pad. Also that means bye bye to your aim, it will wear the pad down like crazy, it will make it feel you try to move your mouse on a dirt and grass. And let me tell you, the more friction the pad has, the worse your aim gonna be. Point is - you dont clean your cloth pads. Atually, no, point is - you don't buy cloth pads at all, hard pads all the way. Cloth pads are only good to wipe your ass, that's all, no matter how ''amazing'' you think the pad is.
