Being a detailer I use Autolym for everything, people say to me its like walking into an Autoglym shop when they see my garage, I can vouch for the Interior Shampoo the Hi foam Interior Cleaner also the carpet & upholstery cleaner but I also steam clean the upholstery for that finishing touch, this kills all known bacteria. Off topic, I'm asked which is my favourite Autoglym product I like using which is the Rapid Aqua Wax (brilliant & affective product) I use this 3 or 4 times on my Mazda & Jaguar E Pace, brilliant product.

I'm hoping this works!! I got 2 medium sized melted chocolate stains RIGHT IN THE MIDDLE of my car seat, and it does not look appealing at all. 😭😩 I tried to clean it off.. the chocolate stains are gone, but now i have water stains as i was trying to clean the chocolate off! (not happy at all). I just ordered the shampoo and aqua dry. I'm putting all my faith in this. PLEASE GOD LET THIS WORK!

Step one is always to vacuum. This process is suitable for light cleaning OR a deep clean. It all depends on how much there is to get off the seats. Just keep on scrubbing until all the dirt is removed.

I will try that thanks. My van seat at the back is black with dirt on the bottom half. I think it must be a build up of sweat and dirty work clothes over the years. Now whenever we get damp weather in the autumn and winter, it goes kind of sticky. Same with the steering wheel and gear knob. And now I'm kind of fed up of putting up with it, so want to give those things a good clean and keep then clean. Also don't want to get my new high viz coat dirty on the seat either. 😁 Will your interior shampoo clean the steering wheel and gear knob or is there another product for that? The steering wheel is a kind of high density foam type with a shiny smooth surface.

That would depend on the weather, material etc. As per the video the aqua dry will aid in drying as you draw out the dirt, if needed you can go over the area again with a dry microfibre or another aqua dry to help absorb more moisture quicker.

The product used is Autoglym Interior Shampoo (the bottle held up in the video0 We are not sure what the stains are we're afraid. We were searching for a car with a filthy interior to use in our video and found this one. We did not make the marks and stains ourselves, they were there already. We presume it is food and drink though, along with general dirt that finds its way into a car.

Hi, the method shown does not result in the seats getting very wet at all. It looks wetter than it actually is. wiping over with the synthetic chamois absorbs a lot of the moisture too. Ideally leave the doors open to aid drying, or if that is impractical, crack the window a little to allow air to circulate. The speed of drying will be dictated by air temperature etc. We use this exact method every single week in our training school on vehicles, and no one drives home with a wet bottom. Ensure you leave a few hours between cleaning and needing to drive and you will be ok.

The process shown in the video does not leave the seat very wet at all. It is damp, yes, but not soaked. The Aqua Dry that we use is absorbent, but the key is not to saturate the seat during the cleaning process.

Pretty much all cars have sponge underneath, as did the one on the video. The key is not to get the seat too wet while you work. The technique shown here includes a drying stage which removes most of the liquid. Any residual dampness will clear shortly, especially if it is a warm day. If you can leave the windows open a crack this helps, as does air conditioning which will remove the moisture in the air in the car.

The product in this video is low foaming cleaner, the Hi-Foam Interior is higher foaming and comes in an aerosol. They are both used on the same areas of a car though. Which one you choose is up to you.

If you follow this process the seats do not actually get that wet at all. We have cleaned lots and lots of heated seats with this process and not had any issues.

Hi, this will not leave a damp smell, provided you do not over wet the surface during the cleaning, or if you do, ensure that the material has plenty of time to dry out and air. The best thing is not to soak it in the first place. As for milk , it will remove stains from the fabric surface, but if the milk has soaked into the foam layer underneath it will start to smell (quite badly). A biological cleaner is excellent here, Fabric Stain Remover from our Professional range is excellent (although it is only available in 5L) or talk to your local Autoglym Registered Operator who will be able to clean the seat for you.
