I'm very familiar with the M112 M113 engines. Typically multiple misfires all on one side will be a coil pack. One bad coil can cause misfires on the entire side of the engine.
@deandavid80803 жыл бұрын
cant you switch the coils around or to the other side the engine to see for sure if that's the problem?

Hi from South Africa. Approach in my opinion is wrong. 1. Plugs 2. Coils most likely as it had codes for 4 5 and 6. They possibly share coils or are connected to each other 3. Injectors but unlikely 3 going at one time

Hi Mike, I know this is quite old video, but I just saw it and subscribed to your channel today. I want to ask you if you have found the problem causing misfire on 4,5, and 6? Because I'm having the same on my 2003 ml350, which has the same m112 engine. Thanks and best regards

Hey Mike! I'm betting something is up with the ignition on the 4-6 bank, IE the wiring to the coils perhaps? This car sit for a long time? Perhaps a mouse went to town on the wiring... BUT, I think it is safe to say that it is in the Ignition. G/L
@MonkeyWrenchMike5 жыл бұрын
Thanks David. I do think the car sat for a long time. I’ll look into the wiring issue you suggested!

OR, the plugs are just done, weird it’s all on one side though. There’s a product called Cataclean that actually works at cleaning cats out. Had good luck with my 2001 Allroad, 200k. Use high octane, pure gas too.

Instead of using that stick to hold your hood use some pressure pliers and put them on the shocks it will hold your hood
@MonkeyWrenchMike5 жыл бұрын
Great idea! Thanks

@@MonkeyWrenchMike Mike on the hood pistons /arms (that hold it up) there is red button ,press the red button in and push the hood right up and it will stay vertically up.

why didnt you just take out the fuel relay then crank the car to get rid of the fuel in the lines and injectors. saves time and hassle
@MonkeyWrenchMike4 жыл бұрын
That doesn’t clean them. You have to use cleaner... not just gas.
@rihanmajid98814 жыл бұрын
@@MonkeyWrenchMike strange because ive worked at MERCEDES London for 2 years as a master technician and thats what we do. it has saved us time just by removing the relay.

@@MonkeyWrenchMikeincase anyone reads this yrs later, this procedure is in reference to removing excess fuel in the rail. Cleaning is a separate procedure.
