Thanks. It helped a lot to get like 50 cans of Pledge off. For some reason it never occurred to me before to like BUFF it off. Worked great even with stuff that's like 150 years old.

Thank you for a great and easy to understand video. Just what I needed. Our wood furniture has been badly damaged this year by our 15 month old live in granddaughter. Its so difficult to remove arrowroot cookies from our fine wood tables .

Hello, I just saw your wonderful video. You mentioned Danish oil as a finish. I rescued a 1948 mid-century modern gate leg drop leaf table it's a dinner table. The table top finish is trashed. In the process of removing that and repairing a few other small parts of the table leg. My question is and I'm pretty sure it's Maple veneer. Is it okay to use the Danish oil to reseal it instead of putting varnish or something on it it had old shellac on it. I would love to bring out the wood color again. Thank you for any info.

Thanks Greg ! I have a 1940's walnut dining table that needs to shine . Bought the Murphy's and gonna use your cleaning method. After the cleaning is there a oil I can use to make my table shine ? What do you recommend ? Thanks in advance . = )

Minwax Antique Oil would give you a great shine although it will require some good elbow grease. Thanks for tuning into our channel.

Hello! Did I understand right? At first I shoud wash it with warm water and what (ingredients, please)? And after that I should leave it to dry for 3 hours and only after that to polish it with something with oil and silicon?
@susanmitchell60613 жыл бұрын
He recommended using Murphys Oil Soap and water. Clean it thoroughly. Buff dry. If you don't remove the dirt there's no point in polish. And if you clean it properly you may not need polish. Good luck!

By dipping a rag into dirty water & oil soap aren’t you just transferring dirt and residue to the table?
@Lens980523 жыл бұрын
You could follow up with a second cleaning with clean mixture and see how dirty it gets. Then you would know if there was much residue left behind from the first cleaning.

You don't have to rinse the rag after each use. The method shown in our video works well.

This left a white haze on my dark wood table!

I was worried about that. I have a dark Cherry table. Trying to decide what to use.
