This vlog is about cleaning and lubing of the chain on my Interceptor 650. Cleaning and lubing of chain ensures longevity of the life of the motorcycles chain and chain sprockets. Regular lubing and cleaning of chain ensures good performance of the motorcycle. I have used brands like royal enfield chain cleaner, motul chain cleaner , motul chain lube and also performance packs from Liqui Molly. Here in this video i use motul cleaner and liqui molly chain lubricant.

Bel Ray Chain Lubricant is the best so far. It doesn't fling off the chain and end up in the wheel rim.I own an Interceptor and have used RE Lubes and honestly, it sucks. RE Chain cleaners are nice. Never used Liqui Moly. Will give it a try. Castrol chain lube is also good. Also it's advisable to remove the sprocket cover and chain guard before doing this. The front sprocket needs cleaning because it's usually the neglected part that catches a lot of dirt. I can share the Interceptor service manual if somebody needs it.

I will surely try Bel Ray. Is it a dry chain lube? And how many kms does it cover before reapplication? Liqui Moly is good. It covers a good 600-700 kms . Try it. Sure share the service manual. I dnt have one. Didn't get one from the service centre.

Do I need to repeat this two step process (cleaning and lubing) every 500 kms while touring or will only lubing do after every 500 kms?

Ni Bro cleaning is important before lubing. Only lubing will only do more harm than not lubing at all. You can use lubes like liqui molly which is adequate for 600-700 kms on one go too

Actually i am use chain spray. But rear disc not proper brake. Then any solution

Chain spray has no relation with brake. Kitna Kms run hua hai aapka bike bro?

Use a cardboard to avoid contact with the disc...

Liqui Molly is Not thick wax. It's a thin spray based chain lube. It lubricates chain easily for 600 kms

Do we have to wipe the chain after applying the lube or let it be? in some other video I saw it like that.

No no don't wipe the chain after lubing. The lube will come off the chain then. Only when we apply chain cleaner. Leave it for 10 mins and clean with a brush. Then clean with a cloth. Then at the end apply lube and let it be.

Can i use break cleaner for cleaning chain?

Depends on the product you have. Generally we dnt use break cleaner on chain. Because chemicals used are different

Bro u did in a wrong way. Lube should be apply from inner side. Not from outside , bcz when the wheel rotating lube will be spill outside. Have a safe ride bro .

Lube has to be applied from front and both sides as advised by the Royal Enfield Service people. That's how I did it in the video. But you can apply however you want to untill you keep lubing the chain at regular Intervals 😊 Happy Riding Bro....Peace❤️
