Thank you for sharing this method with us!! I used to spend over an hour just cleaning the brushes and all my real technique sponges and it’s so frustrating because sometimes the stains wouldn’t completely go away. But using this method I’ve actually got clean, spotless sponges and I’m so happy!!! They look like brand new now tysm!

When you rince your brushes please make sure to keep the briscles facing down. Water should not get into the barrel as it will loosen up the glue and the briscles may fall out and it will ruin your brushes
@KaylaJackson-fb3fl5 жыл бұрын
Yes!! I decorated my whole vanity from Dollar tree and all my brush storage is just like what you showed in the video. It was so cheap. I got sand and I also got some bags of the little rocks they look so high end lol
@brook.532 жыл бұрын
Two things 1. The hot water can melt the glue holding the bristles in place, slightly warm or normal temperature water would be better 2. Rinse off brushes face down so water doesn't flow into the handle and loosen it off

This methid works so so good just hold ur brushes bristles down when u rinse them out so water doesn't get up in the handles and tilt the handles up on a rolled up hand towel or something when u dry them so what water does get up there drains out while they dry.

I tried this technique last night on my beauty blenders and brushes, it works really well and I deff recommend it, especially for my beauty blenders it was so satisfying watching how clean they got! The only thing was that I noticed my brushes felt kind of oily or greasy this morning.. i felt like I rinsed them pretty good but they still had that feeling and I had to use a different older brush for my powder. Do u think I should just soak my brushes again tonight in water and dish soap?

Do you wash your brushes/beauty blenders after every single time you put on makeup or do you wait after a few times of using the same brushes/beauty blenders before washing them, again?
@ForeverCryssy5 жыл бұрын
Ms. Elle Banks ideally you should wash them after every use. This method is what I use after I have accumulated a ton of dirty brushes and I don’t want to hand clean them one by one. Lol the daily method is just to use dawn and wash them on your hand after using it for the day. Lol I never actually do that though. It usually takes me like one week before I break down and wash them.

The way you rinse them isn't the glue inside (that holds the bristles) going to loosen up?
@daniellecooper17665 жыл бұрын
Yes you dont want any water in the ferrule it will ruin the brush... and you dont want to use those mats on natural hair brushes they are too harsh and always point the brush down when rinsing and dry them upside down... not flat. You can just get a rubber band a clip board if you dont want to buy a stand. Just lean the clip board against something so they are drying brush hairs down so no water gets into them
@marianalopez31325 жыл бұрын
Yeah you should hold them facing downward so the water doesn't go up

But I do love your recipe concoction. I’ll have to try that someday 😉👍👍
