How to clean Mass Air Flow Sensor on a Toyota Camry 2006 to 2017

When I had the codes checked for a check engine light on my Camry, it said to replace the Mass Airflow sensor - after talking to a mechanic friend and watching your video, I decided to try cleaning it instead. It did the trick! Car is running smooth again! Thanks for posting!

Thanks for the video! Usually takes a couple of days of driving for the engine’s ECU to recalibrate to the clean MAF sensor. I keep record at the pump of how many gallons to fill the tank at refill time to calculate MPG’s, alot of which depends on how heavy or light your foot is on the gas pedal,…lol. Cruise control is best for gas savings on long drives imho,… thanks again and be safe!

Thanks for this video! A new Mass Air Flow Sensor was placed on my 2008 Toyota Camry. I paid the body shop and attempted to leave the shop, but the car would not start (a new catalytic converter was placed on the car last year).The mechanics got the car to start, but asked that I bring it back so that they can figure it out. Any ideas? Many Thanks!

The DocMack Car Channel I never expected an answer! I have subscribed. I did see them spray something before cranking the car to move it into their work area.

@@BuzzardEggs Thanks for Subscribing. I suspect it is the fuel pump or filter, or something fuel related like injectors . They must have sprayed starting fluid into the air intake which will give the car a short while to start.

@@BuzzardEggs You are welcome, without looking at the car I can't advise on cost, but if it is fuel injectors then possibly, but fuel pump and filter should not be too expensive. Which part of the world are you in and what mileage is it ?

Heyy just watched your video. I’ve a 2006 Camry V4 gulf specs, And I’m getting 13-14L/100kms. I’ve cleaned the fuel injectors with the machine what else do I do¿ I think I get 1200-1300rpm when I start my car after a long time. And lastly what oil would you recommend for 40C weather for this car ¿

I don’t have a engine light but have the symptoms. So got the o2 sensors swapped and letting the MAF dry. I’ll get back to see how my TRD Camry Is performing

@@DocMackGarage mannnnnn WHAT a HUGE difference!! It’s so much better. Crazy how much better it is just by replacing air to fuel o2 and cleaning the MAF WOTH CRC. geez lol thanks for the video
