I recognize the effort of the work, but why not unzip the fabric and wash this cover. To me after washing this mattress the inside will get worse. In other hand, I suppose for the owner is less expensive paying for the washing than buy a new one😢, but honestly I couldn't sleep in there anymore. I would rather buy a new....

This was a very interesting process to watch. My primary thought was that they would never get all that padding and the seams dry, plus the mattress is already worn out so what's the use in cleaning it? Then I saw the zipper for taking the cover off the frame to wash it either by hand or in a large industrial washing machine. It certainly would have been easier to dry.

14:07 The mattress has a removable cover, you could remove it and wash it (with better results) in the washing machine. You used less detergent, less water, you rinsed it better! The way you washed it, 40% of the detergent remained in the mattress, it will smell bad and cause allergies!

At the end of video we see a zipper on the side of mattress . Could it be thats for removing and putting in a washing machine. I dread water going down the drain , these men find some discards and try to use though and clean the rugs beautifully! There should be a way to recycle water too. Reusing dirty water on dirty things at first or maybe soak rugs overnight ,put them in the rain . Brush off beat off most dirt first ?

I have cleaned a mattress several times. For simple stuff a carpet machine with upholstery attachment does the trick, or scrub brush using minimal water while its on its side and against the wall with a few towels beneath it and a fan...dries fine. Once, while we were away on an overnight trip, our dog had a not so little accident on my daughters twin size mattress. When you can't just go buy a new one, cleaning similar to this works but you have to keep it on its side, do it outside, and start early so the sun and wind can thoroughly dry it. It's not easy, nor is it ideal, but it can be done.

El problema aquí no es cómo lavarlo!!! Es como secarlo, por que quedan manchas donde se acumula el agua que va estilando y secando. Mojado y ya lavado se ve perfecto . Me gustaría verlo ya bien seco para ver cómo quedó. También no se si se podría meter a una máquina extractora de agua, que no dañará los resortes y al final no se manchará tanto. I take my mattresses outside and wash them every year. I clean them and lean them up against the tree and let them air dry in the sun night time and bring them inside.That way the sun dries them and they smell so good.🙂

So how many days for this type of mattress (foam type) to completely dry? I’ve washed my mattress this way due to all the bed bugs crawling everywhere and i had to wash it this way to ensure no more bugs crawling the bed. Problem is it’s been almost a week now and still wet when you apply pressure on the foam. While it looks dry on the outside, when you press it, wet spots clearly form. How long is the drying process?

If the washing detergent they use is anything like Biotex, the padding will have soaked up the washing detergent and it will have broken down the mould spores and any bacteria inside as well. Especially since it looks like it had a good soak all over.

Definitely recommend buying a bissell, my mum uses one to get marks off mattresses. It pulls all the dirt out the fabric, whereas what your doing its just absorbing all the dirt :)

Excelente trabajo unos piensan que ya esta para la basura pero pongamonos a pensar y si no hay presupuesto para comprar otro? Es como los zapatos unas personas los tiran otras los mandamos a arreglar asi damos trabajo a unos oficios que se estan perdiendo sale mas barato que unos nuevos seria genial tener un rodillo grande y asi exprimir el colchon pero trabajo es trabajo y hoy en dia hay que inventar 👍👍
