An Emory board works just like sand paper but travels well

So do sand paper pads that come in most every art kit. They are small and you can also make your own with different grits of sandpaper. Very easy to work with plus buying an assorted pack and cutting the sand paper into smaller strips make it also easy to travel with, plus you can a assorted pack for $1 which is way cheaper then nail files

Don't apply too much pressure while blending. Also try to add base layer evenly first with the pencil and then fine tune it lightly with blending stump.

I would not to this. Since the stumps are actually rolled paper it will wreck the stump. It is best to use a knife or sandpaper. Never a sharpener

No. Why because a blending stump is actually made of paper. It is rolled paper. So sharpening it will wreck it. If you use sandpaper it files it to a point. Never use a pencil sharpener.

You dont really need it, just use tissue(you can fold it to a point to blend smaller areas) or you can just make your own at home

You can make your own out of soft paper. Tissue is good but stumps are also very good tools to have on the ready. I have been an art teacher for many years. Just use some pliable soft paper and roll it tightly into the stump shape. On a smooth surface rub the end until it shapes to a cone. You can clean it just the same way with sand paper .

You can make new ones out of soft paper. They are very easy to make. I wouldn't however use the one that felling in the ramen
