I have protected my pontoons with sharkhide protectant. Are you familiar with this product? Do I have to strip the sharkhide off first or will this take that protectant off as well?

If you protect your pontoons when they are brand new, it's much easier than restoring them after they're stained and streaked, It will keep your pontoons shiny, free of corrosion, streaks and stains and make them so much easier to keep clean. If your pontoons are clean and shiny, wash and degrease them first with Boat Clean Plus, coat them with Alumetron and then apply VS721 to reduce attachment of marine growth and make them easier to keep clean. Alumetron comes with a 5 year warranty but it can last up to 10 years. VS721 is an annual application.
