How To Clean Roller BLINDS and SHADES | Easy Tutorial to Clean Your Blinds at Home

How to clean roller blinds or shade at home while they are still hanging. In this video we teach you how to clean a roller blind or roller shades at home while they are still hanging, or on a table. This is a quick and east blind cleaning tutorial but be careful not to apply to much pressure to your blinds whilst cleaning them as they may tear under pressure. Some blinds and shades are starched so don't be too aggressive while cleaning. Finally, if your blinds will tolerate it, you may be able to clean them in a bath or shower but again, be careful. Depends what type of paint! Options are wash it off if its water based, lightly sand it and use rubbing alcohol on it if its oil based. Be careful, patient and test - that's how I would approach it.

+Laurna Doyle yes it would but I’d use pure rubbing alcohol as opposed to the cleaning mixture I’m using here. I’ve a dry cleaning tutorial give that a watch and it’ll teach you the method.

Generally an acid - there are dedicated rust removers for fabrics also. Start with neat white vinegar and see if that works!
